Good point. I mean, after Rosa Parks was arrested in 1955 the civil rights movement pretty much went home never to be heard from again.

Gov. @JoshShapiroPA: It's a slap in the face to American steelworkers that Trump would knock down the East Wing and rebuild it with foreign steel.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The man who didn't want this war is now the one who has to end it... Vance heading into Islamabad reveals the impossible position he's in. He opposed the war. He told Trump to his face it was a bad idea. He cautioned against striking the Houthis in leaked Signal chats. He kept quiet during the early weeks, staying as far from the "debacle" as possible. Then Trump handed him the negotiating table. A close friend says Vance described feeling like he was "walking on eggshells" around Trump because of his antiwar views. Across the table sits Araghchi, who literally wrote a book called "Negotiations: The Power of Diplomacy" vowing Iran would never surrender its nuclear capacity. And Ghalibaf, the parliament speaker who mocked America's "no-strategy war" when the F-15 was shot down. A former Trump official put the stakes bluntly: Vance will have his fingerprints all over the fallout if the U.S. ends up on the losing side of a bad deal. But here's the thing nobody is saying out loud. Vance's opposition to the war is exactly what makes him credible to Iran. Tehran requested him. They trust that the man who tried to prevent the bombing is more likely to negotiate honestly than the people who championed it. If he walks out of Islamabad with a deal, it's the most significant diplomatic achievement by a Vice President in modern history. If he doesn't, the war he never wanted becomes the war he couldn't end. Source: WSJ

BREAKING: Kamala Harris just gave the clearest signal yet she’ll run for president again in 2028. politico.com/news/2026/04/1…

Biden's presidency was tormented by campus protests over Israel's war in Gaza and his reluctance to push back on it. They shadowed him at events Those protests have been virtually nonexistent with Trump amid the war in Iran. @Lauren_V_Egan looks into why thebulwark.com/p/the-campus-p…

Student activists are tactical. They thought they could influence the Biden Administration because he was a Democrat and they were his own voters. That failed. I think many concluded you had to change the party first and energy has been channeled into defeating pro Israel Dems.

I was gonna protest but the school said no :(

Respectfully, this sort of undercuts the whole stated purpose of the Uncommitted effort. If you recognize that your movement only appreciably advances under one party, you expend your energy getting that party into power and pushing it, not undermining it in the eyes of voters.

By presidential decree, @Claudiashein is expanding health care to all Mexicans through the establishment of the Universal Health Service. Beginning in 2027, "any citizen can attend any health institution and be guaranteed full and free coverage throughout the national system."

Why would anyone on earth listen to a word you have to say about any of this?
