@realfreeJAYD @SchuckFarms How much would you have to be paid to teach?
English

@SchuckFarms Exactly this. Then they complain 24/7 about how hard the job is while they’re sitting poolside.
It’s fucking laughable.
English

Teachers are paid plenty when they get 3 months of the year off

@DavePrichard @jacobsenphoto Band is a class; marching band is an extracurricular activity.
PE is a class; sports are extracurricular activities
English

If the band gets a class period, then sports should as well.

@itssaulx @DavePrichard @jacobsenphoto In Texas, students don’t have a right to make a team. But they are required to obtain physical education credits, which include PE, athletics, and even marching band. If a student gets “cut” or removed from a team for disciplinary/grade reasons, they just go PE instead.

Hi! Band director here. My band class is concert band. It follows the Tennessee state standards I linked in another reply.
From my concert band, we have our marching band that meets AFTER school. I had 70 concert band members and only about 50 marching band including 12 color guard that were not part of concert band. So really 38 of 70 were in marching band. Because they are two different activities within the same umbrella.
I’m sure TSSAA would be interested in creating state standards for all sports, then requiring you to take any and all that sign up for the class due to being required to proved a “free and public education.”
No more try outs. If they sign up, they have to be on your team. No more starters, second string, etc. because every child would deserve the right to same standards based education as the next.

@jumpoutHERB @RealSportReview @DavePrichard Why does practicing during a time set aside for sports seem absurd?
English

@RealSportReview @DavePrichard What do they do? No way they’re practicing.

@MATTE0623 @PeteNakos Like employees going to the job that pays the most?

@PeteNakos Bad choice of words? Kids are like stock? Assets? I mean we all saw this coming, but crazy how they look at these humans, seems familiar 🤔

GMs have found ways to counter the NIL impact of recruiting rankings bumps.
“I had one agent bring it up, and I shut it down immediately. I asked if it works both ways, if he drops in the rankings, do we get to drop his money?”

@Kharn_300BO @reddit_lies Where I’m at the power company won’t touch lines connecting a house anymore, even new construction, “because of liability”. Has to be done by an electrician.
English

@reddit_lies He needs to tell the power company he needs the power line dropped from the pole at 9am so he can repair the cabin, then reconnected at 6pm. They do it all the time for siding, wall, etc repairs.

@derek_j_scv @GarandThumb1 How much does a fully outfitted PCC cost in comparison to a pistol with the same exterior accessories?
English

@AnimasOutlaw @WeaponizD1 @braley_lucas556 @GarandThumb1 It’s almost like there are layers to this stuff.
Imo, <25 yards (or quick draw/concealability) a handgun makes the most sense. 25-100 yards, PPC makes sense for several reasons. 100-500 yds 5.56/.223 is my go to. After that I’ve got the .308/6.5/7mm etc.
English

@WeaponizD1 @braley_lucas556 @GarandThumb1 That's fine, but I will die on the hill that pistol calibers are intended for pistols, and carbines have been engineered for rifle calibers.
A PCC is just an SBR with it's balls nipped off.
English

@JMooreP3 @nickwakenc @GarandThumb1 The FPC is badass. The control and recoil feels like .22 LR or an air gun. Very maneuverable too. Fits in a backpack or my nightstand and my wife can easily shoot it too. It’s now my intermediary home defense gun after my M&P 2.0 and before my AR-15.
English

@nickwakenc @GarandThumb1 It's fun to shoot 9mm carbines. It's also a lot cheaper than rifles (except .22). S&W new folding pistol caliber carbine is pretty nice.

@chamberhands @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate Geography encompasses landscapes, environments AND human societies and culture. It has everything to do with crime rates. If I have to explain it then it’s not worth explaining.

These lists are always like “Yeah, the economy, housing affordability, and cost of living are better in these states, but they have a lack of trans health care so gotta put them below New Jersey.”
Complex@Complex
These are the 10 worst states to live in for 2026, according to CNBC. 1. Tennessee 2. Texas 3. Indiana 4. Louisiana 5. Georgia 6. Utah 7. Missouri 8. Alabama 9. Oklahoma 10.Arkansas
English

@rebels2008 @EternalKapo @extradeadjcb @HibernoTeuton Yeah, and the liberals in the Northeast and West Coast haven’t caught on yet. Be thankful.
English

@EternalKapo @extradeadjcb @HibernoTeuton Mississippi has at least made significant improvements in recent years, especially in education. I don't know about West Virginia.
English

Reasons states wind up on this list (not exaggerating)
1. Not enough abortions
2. Not gay enough
3. "food insecurity"
4. Not enough HR rules
5. Not enough gun laws
6. Not enough therapists
7. Not enough working moms
8. Not enough affirmative action

@chamberhands @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate I know that, I’ve visited NJ. But the state of TX has 30 million people and 270,000 square miles. It is much more spread out and geographically diverse.
English

@heritageastexan @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate Now I know for certain that you know nothing about the state of New Jersey.
New Jersey houses intense pockets of poverty & violence that rarely, if ever, spill outside their borders.
The more you people communicate, the quicker it is to determine how full of sh*t you are.
English

@chamberhands @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate You can escape the riff raff more easily in a state like Texas.
English

@chamberhands @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate That’s why I live in a white area with basically a 0% homicide rate.
English

@heritageastexan @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate Texas ranks below New Jersey in multiple quality of life metrics.
Your murder rate being a glaring category.
English

@chamberhands @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate K. Enjoy killing yourself just to survive I in your undesirable state instead of admitting there are better places to live
English

@specialopsmag @overlandmaniac Some dudes are just born to fight
English

@chamberhands @emre_mayo @bonchieredstate Cheap is part of being desirable. The biggest complaints in America right now are low wages, cost of gas, housing, groceries, etc. Those are all solved in cheap places to live. It also shows that SJW “values” aren’t really that important when they can barely put food on the table
English

@emre_mayo @bonchieredstate Desirable or cheap? Those aren't mutually exclusive
