🇺🇸🇬🇱 THE U.S. HAS BEEN TRYING TO BUY GREENLAND SINCE 1946 - IT'S NEVER WORKED In 1946, President Harry Truman made the first formal U.S. offer to buy Greenland from Denmark. The price: $100 million in gold. The Cold War was starting, and U.S. officials viewed Greenland as "indispensable to the safety of the United States." They literally said Greenland was "completely worthless to Denmark" and that "money is plentiful now," so why not just buy it? Secretary of State James Byrnes made the official pitch to Denmark's foreign minister in New York in December 1946. The justification was that Greenland would give the U.S. "valuable bases from which to launch an air counteroffensive over the Arctic area in the event of attack." Denmark said no. The U.S. did get permission to build military bases there though. They had several, but only one remains today: Pituffik Space Base. Denmark's been saying no to U.S. Greenland offers for 80 years. Trump's just the first president who won't take no for an answer. Source: CNN

Playing billiards with the Snapchat AR spectacles on. There's a lens that overlays where I need to hit the ball to make the shot. Is this cheating or nah? 🤓 (Too bad I scratched anyway)

@tim_cook I think the ad would work much better if it was reversed. All the objects should be expanding out of the iPad rather than being crushed into it made this edited version in five minutes (thanks iMovie!)
