@HSBC_UK just tried to use the telephone banking system for a very small movement from one of my HSBC accounts to another. 50 minutes of my life wasted with staff who did not seem to know what they were doing.

. @HSBC_UK I needed to pay a window installation company today . I tried on app to add them as a payee , it wouldn’t let me . I then spent 25 mins being asked questions about the absolutely legitimate company before you’d process payment . This is madness !!!!

The (alleged) fraudster has attempted to impersonate Queen Mary University of London and has requested payment of £850.00 for tuition fees into an HSBC UK account. Here's a screenshot of the email I received. Queen Mary uses qmul.ac.uk, NOT kct.ac.in or qmul-ac.store for their domain. Additionally, these are not QMUL's usual bank details for payment of tuition fees! As this is using a UK bank account, please can you investigate further? Please DM me if you'd like IP addresses, original email headers, etc. CC @HSBC @QMUL

@HSBC_UK Your colleague has already asked me to do that and I have messaged him…. It would be good if you could liaise with each other before replying. Communication in HSBC is very lacking.

@HSBC_UK I had 5reminders of a meeting I’d booked to discuss your not doing what I had asked in February 2026 (I now have to wait a further six weeks at least for you to do what I asked you to do then) because your complaint resolution email of 14th April didn’t deal with it!!!

@stephenpratley @HSBC_UK The fact the HSBC biz app still has no notifications and their card has no Apple Pay support tells you everything about their care for customers. They don’t give a shit.

Every payment I get goes “kerching” except for @HSBC_UK This is a much bigger problem than it sounds
