Las Vegas Raiders Rookie WR Chase Roberts (@chase_roberts11) shared that many of his new teammates have come to him with questions about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He said that a major topic of interest is modern-day prophets.
Chase noted that he has had a chance to share his testimony of the gospel and the authority of prophets, saying, "I have such a strong testimony about these prophets because of how they've changed my life."

@catcolalex @Apologetics941 We know you think Jesus was “a god” but not THE God

Stacker’s < 70 IQ prevents him from reading the actual text of the Word of Wisdom to know why coffee is forbidden.
His IQ is so low that no matter how many times people point this out, he defaults back to his pamphlet talking point.
Apostasy is brutal.
Ask me how I know.

@jesse_k_fox No one has found any archeological evidence. None. Zero. The Bible has substantial archeological and very specific evidence.

@JS9511606021086 You’re in a high demand religion, you feel you must convince everyone daily

If they don’t want to pay their fair share in the city that gave birth to them, maybe it’s best they go. What values does a business hold if it doesn’t wanna contribute to the community that it operates in? Good riddance to them and any other business that wants to avoid paying their fair share. This post ain’t the flex you think it is

EXCLUSIVE: In 2025, Starbucks sent a letter to Gov Bob Ferguson warning him that passing higher taxes would have "unintended long-term economic consequences that will disproportionately impact Washington-based businesses."
The coffee giant urged him to veto the bills because "imposing new taxes on certain elements of our staffing, IT, security, and advertising functions that are based out of our local headquarters would dramatically increase costs, putting us at a competitive disadvantage to companies based in other states."
The company warned that imposing a new B&O surcharge "will also make it more difficult for us to make vital investments in Washington."
Ferguson ignored the warning. Starbucks announced it was expanding to Nashville earlier this year, laying off employees in Washington and hiring 2,000 people in Tennessee

@JS9511606021086 So bizarre to favor a bunch of books that conflict with each other.

Properly reinforcing that we are disciples of Jesus Christ within the Church of Jesus Christ has some uncomfortable takes for some when you restate their "demon" comment back as "disciples of Jesus Christ"
Of course you're bound to get blocked by them when you do that. But then you know the holy spirit triggered their soul because they can't handle the name of Christ.

@indyfreethink Why would you want anything less than to literally be like your Heavenly Father and inherit all that He has?
English

Second one today. The answer is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Unsurprisingly, the true gospel is the most optimistic. And if you truly believe in a loving God, it’s also the most realistic.

🚨One Reason I Cannot Accept Christianity. Accepting Christianity means accepting that my ancestors are burning in hell simply because Christianity hadn't reached them. How is that compatible with a just and loving God?

@indyfreethink You keep trying to be that free thinker.
Apparently you need to keep working at it.

@storiesOfMormon So the marketing campaign to get ahead of the Book of Mormon musical was called “I’m a Mormon”? But you weren’t Mormons that was just Protestant slang? 🤣
English

@indyfreethink You're so incredibly dumb. It's wild.
A marketing campaign to get a head of the Book of Mormon musical is your source of truth about a name of a church?
English

The Protestant invention of the slang "Mormons" in 1831 was their great long-game effort. And the Church being kind tried to work with that.
But it made it easier for Protestants to be all pouty when 200 years later members tell them to get bent with their stockholm syndrome control.
They can't fathom why their attempts to control the narrative of members of the Church of Jesus Christ isn't working.
And its making them feel like they are losing control of the spaces they want to control.
Good.
English

@indyfreethink I thought your name was "free thinker"
You don't seem to think.
English

That's still not in the name Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
But cool that you think a marketing campaign with a slang name started by the Protestants, means that disciples of Jesus Christ within the Church of Jesus Christ are that slang name.
That was a marketing campaign to get in control of the narrative that was coming out in the Book of Mormon musical.
Sheesh. You're one of those people who can't think.
English

@indyfreethink You don't need to lie.
Protestants started the word "Mormons" so for you to think that we don't know how belittling you like to be, is a mockery to ones intelligence.
You're just an anti-Christ who likes to name call other people and stand in-between them and Christ.
English

@darth_veritas01 Ok...Do you have some sources, references, or evidences you can share?

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I've seen a lot of criticisms of the Church. I also see a lot of people not members of The Church of Jesus Christ if Latter-day Saints expressing those criticisms as if they are some kind of subject-matter expert. It's always the same 10-12 recycled points, presented as if they are earth-shattering, definitive proofs that the critics are right, and that those of us who maintain our Faith are somehow mislead, ignorant, brainwashed, or unable to step away.
It seems like critics of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints haven't updated their Curriculum of Criticism since The Godmakers was released in 1982. And they often refuse to look at any materials that have been produced since. It's the same criticisms repacked over and over to seem like they are new and fresh.
I wanted to present some good, modern sources of information that Members and Critics can use in their pursuit of Truth. These have been helpful in my own study, and have generally been good, semi-objective sources:
mormonr.org
fairlatterdaysaints.org
lightandtruthletter.org
churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng
We can always turn to God in sincere prayer when searching for Objective Truths, especially when those truths are spiritual in nature. Study, in conjunction with sincere prayer, is a great formula to find Truth. It's worked in my life. I've seen it work in the lives of others. God answers prayers, and through His Spirit can lead us to Truth.
