91 year old P N Sankaran has done more for Indian sport than anybody I know and I do know many people from the world of Indian sport. He played a huge role in the promotion of sports by @TataCompanies. From @BCCI cricket to basketball and from the @Olympics to the @AsianGamesOCA and the @hashcwg there are few sports or events he has not tried to develop and support through the 60+ years of his involvement with sport. Even at 91, what speaks loudly and eloquently of his behind the scenes contribution to the @TataMumMarathon from the day of the 1st Mumbai marathon is how no race of @procamintl is conducted without Mr Sankaran’s presence. I hope that the government will take note of Mr Sankaran’s selfless contribution over the years. I am fortunate to have him for a friend.

@MohnishPabrai is famous. Yesterday I learned that his brother runs an ice cream business. It may mot make as much money as @MohnishPabrai does from investing but it certainly brings happiness. The nalen gud ice cream Is their most popular offering and understandably so for the happiness it brings to customers. I am told that Pabrai icecream has expanded to Mumbai where they have to contend with Naturals. But the nalen gud ice cream will certainly help them win customers and not just Bengalis alone. While it is true that a visit to the place was sold to me on the strength of the @MohnishPabrai connection, I will return for the nalen gud icecream.

Even as late as 8 pm on a Friday evening, the Secretariat in Dispur was bustling with intense activity. The security guards of. @assampolice at the entrance tell me that many ministers and bureaucrats work late almost every day, Leading by example is the Hon’ble CM @himantabiswa who works the hardest. Looks like Lahe Lahe is a thing of the past in Assam. No wonder they had such an incredibly successful investment summit. @CMOfficeAssam Huge Congratulations.

@IndiGo6E surprised me today. All passengers on a flight diverted for reasons ostensibly outside the airline”s control were served snacks within minutes of landing at the airport to which the flight had been diverted. Nobody had to pay. Well done, Indigo.

Ian Chappell has a problem with @bcci dominating world cricket. He forgets that until not long ago, @ICC was controlled by the white cricketing nations with veto rights. I wonder if that was ok with him.
