Building an AI-native video editor inside Strat has been one of the most challenging things.
Not only because I need to ensure the footage get's rendered smoothly, the playback is accurate, and the UI looks clean for the end user.
But I need to get the AI models and the backend system to understand creative context and reasoning.
Then need to be able to combine that with user intent, all in realtime within seconds for best UX.
Yet it's never been more exciting for me to build this because it actually feels doable now as compared to 3+ years ago - so there's light at the end of the tunnel.

With this existing now, how does it compare to @HyperFrames_ 🤔

HTML-in-canvas is now a first-class primitive in Remotion! It enables new types of effects that were impossible before.

It’s crazy when you realize that the group of people categorized as the “1%” are not the 1% because they got hand selected from the entire population.
But because they literally operate in a way that the rest of the world doesn’t.
Most people work hard for their whole lives and wonder why they never get financial freedom.
They fail to realize that the 1% don’t just work hard and get lucky.
They think different. Move different. Act different.
It’s almost like they got this aura, this weird anime-like energy where no matter what… they will win.
It’s hard to describe, but y’all ever see a true “successful” person walk in the room and just feel the different energy they bring?
That’s why they won, because they operate on a different frequency that is required for winning.

I think that's overload man, 6-8 terminals a day is a lot for your brain to process and it's like brain rotting on TikTok for a few hours straight.
Because at the end of the day, it works the same. The lines of codes that are generated are just dopamine hits for you if you don't understand what it means.
Now imagine all the dopamine hits you're getting in a short amount of time from all the terminals producing dozens of LOC's in seconds.
For me personally, I use Claude Code heavily every single day but only run 2-4 sessions MAX at the same time. I feel like I can focus a lot more and be more intentional with the features/code I'm shipping.
All this to say that I don't feel what you're feeling unfortunately, so maybe try dialing back the claudemaxxing a bit? Just food for thought.
English

I'm 22 years old and Claude Code is deteriorating my brain.
Every single day for the last 6 months I've had 6 to 8 Claude Code terminals open, waiting for a response just so I can hit 'enter' 75% of the time. And it's doing something to me.
In convos with a couple of friends, it's been a point that's been brought up pretty frequently.
None of us feel as sharp as we used to.
I don't know if it's just us, or others in their 20s are feeling the same thing, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot.
P.S. I know this is a problem with my reliability/usage of it, not Claude Code itself, but the effects are real nonetheless

Shark Tank is dead.
no one has 2 hours to watch a fake, cinematic, scripted drama.
we just fixed that.
introducing... The Buzzer 🔴
1 founder. 1 investor. 5-minutes speed date.
every time the set turns red, either one can reject the other and get a new match (yes... founders can reject investors too LOL)
if they both survive the 5 minutes, it's a match. and they get a private second date.
it's entertaining. it's educational. and it's actually very fun to watch.
this is the new Shark Tank.
and it's called The Buzzer 🔴
enjoy! 🍿
(and shoutout to CUT for the inspiration, and to @compai for sponsoring this episode 💚)

AI has transformed how video is created. We think the next wave is about understanding it.
Over the past few years, we've seen remarkable advances in video generation, editing, avatars, and creative tooling. An increasingly important problem is teaching machines to search, analyze, reason over, and extract insight from video - across massive libraries and live streams alike.
We're calling this video intelligence, and we're actively looking to back founders building here. We're most excited about companies pushing on the core capabilities:
- Video-native models - multimodal embeddings, temporal reasoning, and retrieval built specifically for video rather than adapted from image or text
- Real-time and large-scale pipelines - infrastructure for processing, indexing, and querying video at the speed and scale enterprises actually need
- Agentic and reasoning layers - systems that don't just retrieve clips but answer questions, surface anomalies, and take action on what they see
The models and infrastructure to make this real are appearing to be crossing a capability threshold right now. Multimodal foundation models are maturing, storage costs have collapsed, and enterprises are sitting on years of unstructured video with no way to use it.
That infrastructure unlocks a wide range of applications including media and sports workflows, security and physical operations, enterprise knowledge management, advertising analytics, robotics, and consumer products, where video has historically been dark data.
If you're building in video intelligence at the model layer, the platform layer, or in a vertical application, we'd love to talk!
