As a voting Floridian, I have a few questions.
Do you support freedom of speech?
Do you support Stand Your Ground?
Hypothetical: Man B approaches Man A and they have a disagreement. Man B walks away. Man A pursues him anyway. They stop for a heated exchange of words. Man B reaches toward his pocket (allegedly). Man A punches him. They wrestle on the ground. During the fight, Man B shoots Man A several times and accidentally wounds himself.
Under most states laws including TN and Florida Stand Your Ground law, is this self-defense for Man B?

This is completely untrue. Growing up working-class in the late 80s and 90s, my parents never bought it for us. The only times I ever set foot in a McDonald’s were for someone else’s birthday party. The housing market is undeniably broken, but at the same time, the number of luxuries this generation now considers basic necessities is on another level entirely.

let’s say a gen z person bought two $28 burritos a month. that’s $56 a month and $672 a year, which isn’t even enough to pay a month’s worth of rent at most places nowadays, let alone the cost of a home. cancelling subscriptions, not eating takeout, etc. does not change that much

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.
