Speaking in the King’s Speech debate today I challenged dependency on dictatorships and the urgent need to strengthening resilience. Referred to Putin’s War in Ukraine, Uyghur genocide, North Korea’s crimes against humanity, Iran, Hong Kong, Jimmy Lai, and CCP persecution of religious minorities and pro democracy advocates. I urged the implementation of the recommendations of @humanrightsctte on slave labour, universal jurisdiction and transnational repression.
