This is petty and ridiculous. Hung Cao's stature doesn't mean he isn't qualified to be Secretary of the Navy. His record of service is outstanding and I would think you would embrace a refugee who thrived and succeeded in the US to get to this position.

🚨NEWS: Virginia now has a new permanent payroll tax that will take a varying % of your paycheck and give it to someone else every check from now on. You will also have to pay many times over what you would receive should you take paid leave, if you ever take paid leave (how’s that going to work, small business owners?). The regulations are some of the loosest in the country - allowing 12 weeks of leave annually with minimal requirements or restrictions. Costs were forecast under our current 30% utilization rate, not under an incentivized model to take 100% leave. It has a variable rate, no cap, and sets up a new permanent bureaucracy (jobs!) under the VEC (never had any troubles here) to administer. We have to borrow $750,000 to set it up which must be paid back from our taxes within 3 years. It’s estimated to cost over $2B in year 3 when it goes live, and add a billion a year through year 5. Several states that have tried this are having to appropriate funding from their general funds to subsidize theirs, like WA. This was a historic step for the people. Under Democrat leadership in Richmond, we have now dove headlong into a permanently unworkable solution that does nothing but perpetually extract revenue from taxpayers while politicians clap and celebrate lies. #Affordability

NEW: The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office arrested a Loudoun County Public Schools substitute teacher.
The Sheriff's office says: Hadyn Dollery, 19, of Chantilly, was arrested and charged with Threats of Bodily Injury after LCSO received information through the Safe2Talk app indicating that Dollery made statements threatening violence at John Champe High School on an online platform. Dollery was taken into custody off school grounds and is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Virginia has a procedure set forth in its statutes for this kind of effort.
The advocates for the proposition violated the procedure.
The court allowed the vote because if the "No" side prevailed, the issue would be moot.
The defect in the procedure was there all along, and didn't go away because of the outcome of the vote.

Resident of VA here. What gets me about the recent redistricting approval is the delusion that it is a protection of democracy. No, rearranging districts for a partisan outcome to thwart another partisan outcome while neglecting actual representation is anything but.

@realDanielLucas @charliesmirkley @DanielDiMartino When kids aren't distracted by 20 other kids in a class, and can focus on what they are learning, they learn better. Reading to kids isn't a prerequisite for homeschooling but rather probably an indicator that homeschooling will go well. Reading is essential for all schooling.

They definitely are way more involved parents. That's the point. I argue they are not necessarily wealthier. They just prioritize their finances to make it work and cut spending in other areas. And I also argue that they are not higher IQ, but take advantage of the concentrated learning that better focuses the kids. 1/2

He was speaking in a spiritual sense not an ethnic one. Jesus' Jewishness didn't end at the cross.
