When you have certain products/features/3rd party apps that you need then you're locked in .. until someone else starts offering the same thing.
Many SMB+ businesses finally have a choice and can find a better deal as Square closed the gap. As of today not all gaps are closed so some businesses are still locked-in to Toast.

This is sad. This is scary. This is pathetic. This is what large bitcoin accounts have been posting about all day jerking themselves off talking about “Bitcoin payments adoption”. If there is a cap on how much $BTC you can move set in place by a third party you are no longer benefiting from peer to peer permission-less money. This is the literal definition of money that requires a third party. I cannot believe this is a real tweet.

@BitcoinRachy I don’t charge credit card surcharges at my businesses when you pay in bitcoin. Depending on ticket size it’s usually about a 4% discount.

Why would I spend Bitcoin at a square terminal when I can use a credit card and get 4% back in bitcoin through one of my Bitcoin credit cards?
Bitcoin transactions make a lot of sense for the merchant, but make zero sense for the consumer at this time.
