The kid and senior citizens parents were exhausted last night after dinner and I asked for an autorickshaw in Delhi to drop us 650m ahead. Autorickshaw guy asked for ₹100. I said thank you to him and booked an Uber (Hyundai Accent) instead for ₹60 instead. Why do these autorickshaw guys in Delhi even install meters if none of them follow it in the first place? Last mile connectivity in the form of autos/e rickshaws are not as affordable in Delhi, when compared to Mumbai.

@whizkidd Driving on such so-called long lasting concrete roads have snatched away the smooth driving experience when we used to go for long drives. The car makes lots of noise and uneven roads, bumpy rides makes the long drive a punishment. I wish if we could get our Asphalt roads back.

I would love to see concrete road lovers on Twitter defend this shit. Whenever I say "India makes horrible concrete roads", they point to a handful of good examples from some areas in defence. They ignore the fact that there exists 1000s of kms of concrete roads in India that have absolutely horrible surfaces. Even the new ones are shit. What's worse? They cost 3x more to build compared to smoother asphalt. The only point they can hold on to is "but but they last longer" Arey bhaad me gaya last longer. What's even the point of a longer lasting road that offers bone jarring rides? An its not as if they deliver on that promise either. I have seen "long lasting" PQC roads develop potholes in less than a year. Come back to me when we start making excellent quality PQC roads across the country. I will prefer asphalt/bitumen until then. Also, thank you for your attention to this matter.

Was watching this song from Akele Hum Akele Tum and realised how much Mumbai has lost. First Fantasy Land became a housing complex, then Essel World shut down. Now, a city of an estimated 2 crore + population has zero major amusement parks within its city limits. We’ve traded rollercoasters for concrete towers. If you want a theme park today, you’re driving 80 km (one way) to Imagicaa. A global megapolis needs better recreational zones than just malls.
