@katedore You state U.S. tax refunds are about 11% higher than 2024's refunds. Where are you getting your info, in the early part of tax season? I have filed my own taxes, using a similar income to 2024, and my 2025 refund is slightly less than it was. I find your claim dubious.

Lately, I've been fielding an increasing number of Trump Account-related questions (Even though they can't be made yet). Many of them center on the different types of contributions that can be made, and whether they count towards the $5k annual limit. Bottom line is... 🔸 The $1k pilot contribution for children born from 2025 - 2028 does NOT count towards the $5k annual limit. Nor do contributions made by state or local governments, or charitable organizations. 🔸 Contributions made by employers (up to $2,500 per year per employee), while not taxable, DO count towards the $5k limit, as do "regular" contributions made by others (e.g., parents, grandparents) Great job breaking down those rules, and more, by @katedore and @jdickler here👇 cnbc.com/2026/01/25/tru…

I was hoping I’d never have to share this kind of news, but here I am. I’m tough, but apparently no match for NYC pavement. I caught my foot on uneven sidewalk and went flying. ER Friday, surgery Saturday, going home from Mt Sinai Morningside today. I had great care. I fractured both wrists (surgery on both), banged up my lower face pretty badly, and have a hairline right knee fracture. Pain is well controlled. I thought I’d had enough orthopedic trauma in December 2020, but seems I have another recovery ❤️‍🩹 journey ahead. Grateful I’m strong, I have Alexander Technique in my being, and the single leg squats are coming in very handy. Probably won’t be as good a photo taker for a while. I see the wrist surgeon on 7/11 and the knee orthopedist on 7/9. In the meantime, figuring out how to do things in new ways. Taking it easy. Miss my walking. Attitude positive! 💪💪💪
