Dear @Avis Customer Service, you've just lost a customer for life. Reserved vehicle for school field trip, & you called me 2 hours before pickup to tell me you never carry those vehicles. Need to go to the airport (an extra hour away) and pay MORE money. No help or compensation.

Unbelievable. 45 minutes on the phone with 3 customer service agents, none who could help!

@Avis Yeah, customer service was ZERO help (at least the three agents I spoke with couldn't help me). I have emailed as instructed, and you have exactly 30 minutes to help me, or else I am going to Sixt or @Budget

@Avis I will do this right now. Honestly, you guys have one chance. I have several carloads of teenagers waiting to leave on a field trip to Chicago, and no vehicle as of yet.

My father once told me the secret to a happy marriage. “Stay out of the kitchen. Let her handle the holidays.” I was 19. He was in his recliner. My mother was cooking for 14 people. She’d been up since 5 AM. He’d been up since the football pregame. I didn’t think anything of it. That’s just how it was. Fast forward 20 years. I’m in the recliner. My wife is in the kitchen. She’s been up since 5 AM. I’ve been up since the pregame. My daughter walks by and I see her watching. Not the TV. Her mother. Then me. Then her mother again. That’s when it hit me: She’s taking notes. My father taught me that holidays were for men to rest and women to work. He didn’t say it. He showed it. Every Thanksgiving. Every Christmas. Every Easter. The recliner passed from him to me like an inheritance I never asked for. This morning I woke up at 4 AM. Not for content. For the turkey. My wife found me in the kitchen at 6. She didn’t say anything. She just stood there. Then she cried. Your kids are taking notes. Not on what you say. On where you sit. The recliner is an inheritance. Be the generation that stands up.

Just dropped my teen daughter’s disposable camera off with her instructions to get the digital versions. 😳 So…we paid for a plastic camera and will pay to have those developed into digital pics to load into her phone. Got it.

Unexpected financial collateral damage from the recent Great Eggflation: Due to all others being out of stock, I was forced to either go eggless or buy these fancy expensive eggs Bought them and realized the yolks are 10x oranger. The eggs taste better Now I can never go back

Processing the shocking indictment of former pastor, Robert Morris on five counts of child sex crimes. Morris, was one of the most towering pastoral figures in the independent charismatic world over the past few decades. He may very well spend some serious time in prison—perhaps for the rest of his life. Previously, I've shared a bit about an experience I had around August of 2022. I generally hate to share subjective, personal spiritual experiences. It can so easily put the attention on the person sharing it. In this case, I've increasingly felt it is to be shared. I almost never have experiences like this. I'll add the short clips from when I tried to cautiously share some of it at the IHOP School of Messengers I spoke at, Oct 2023, the night before Mike Bickle's final infamous "black horse" sermon. I was sitting on my back patio one evening winding down, listening to some music and praying when I had what I think was a spiritual experience. I will call it a 'flash.' For just a brief second, I saw/felt/intuited an image very similar to the picture from World War I below. This is the aftermath from The Battle of Passchendaele, also referred to as "the slaughter in the mud." The landscape I saw however was not Europe, but the Church. Every single tall tree was gone. Not a single tall tree remained. I heard/felt/intuited the phrase: "Strike the shepherd(s) and the sheep shall be scattered." I then heard/felt an ocean of screams and agony. I can barely type it now because it stirs up so much emotion. Again, this all happened in a flash, not in clearly formed images or words, but it did happen in a pretty jarring, disruptive way. The message/impression I was left with was simple but overwhelming: Virtually every famous, lofty, celebrity preacher will be exposed and removed from ministry. Many will even abandon the faith entirely. Only the lowly will survive. Naturally, I broke. I begged the Lord not to let me be among those who fall away. I begged Him for patience, for endurance, and the gift of long-suffering. I bawled at the thought of people I love in so much turmoil, pain, and confusion. Here we are, now two and a half years after this experience, and it sure feels like it is all unfolding. I'm still begging the Lord not to let me ever fall away. To give me the humility and patience needed to truly endure faithfully to the end. I would suggest that what is happening right now in the church is very much from the hand of the Lord. It is a prophetic snapshot of the Day of the Lord. If you feel called to shepherd or lead in the church, let the painful lessons sink in deep. Let those with ears to hear, hear what the Lord is saying in this hour. "For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning against all who are proud or lofty. Everyone who is lifted up will be abased." (Isaiah 2:12) "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven (ie., Day of the Lord) is at Hand." (Matthew 3:2)

Grief is elliptical. It kinda shoots away & around & then smacks you in the back of the head from an unexpected angle. Feeling a strong measure of it this AM regarding leaders’ moral failures & the behavior of their minions. Oof. Jesus, come quickly. It’s a mess down here.
