Incredible how Trump has lost all international authority. Nobody abroad takes any of his statements seriously, because he lies all the time, knows no facts & changes his views ever so often. What a tragedy for the US to have such a defect president.

Joe Kent resigning and immediately pivoting to blaming Israel for everything is as predictable as it is unserious. Scapegoating Israel isn’t just a tired antisemitic trope – it’s anti-American. This is a guy with ties to white supremacists and has “PANZER” tattooed on his arm, referring to a Nazi tank infamously used in crimes against Jews. Kent's reduction of Iran to “Israel’s fault” isn’t leadership, it’s bigoted deflection.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

@sentdefender @LindseyGrahamSC @POTUS First, the USA doesn't use the straight of Hormuz, Europe does, we are energy independent, we should let Europe deal with it themselves and use our own oil, how about that?

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.

🇺🇸🔥IT’S HAPPENING: Carrie Prejean — longtime Trump ally and supporter for nearly 20 years — just said this: “MAGA is dead. Deader than dead. We do not recognize President Donald J. Trump anymore.” “I think we are an occupied nation. A foreign country has occupied our government. This President is being influenced by a foreign government.” This is not a Democrat. This is not a Never Trumper. This is someone who called Trump a dear friend for two decades. Chris Murphy said Israel forced our hand. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she no longer believes Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Rand Paul is exposing missing border wall billions. Thomas Massie is threatening to read Epstein names on the House floor. The Christians booed Ted Cruz off stage. Joe Rogan said Trump has nothing to lose because death is imminent. The coalition that put Trump in office is not just fracturing. It is publicly declaring itself dead. “An occupied nation.” Those are the words of a 20-year ally. Never stop connecting the dots.

wel up to date blijven!

People are reading this wrong. China isn't being asked for help. China is being told: 37.7% of Hormuz crude goes to you. India gets 14.7%. Japan 10.9%. South Korea 12%. The US only receives 2.5%. This is Trump telling the countries who actually depend on this oil to put skin in the game rather than letting the US Navy do it alone while they buy cheap crude on the other side. Whether you agree with the delivery method or not, the underlying logic is sound — the biggest consumers should be the most motivated to secure the route.

Wrong. Next step is the US takes Kharg island. Nobody wants to destroy the island, as it is the choke point, the only way for Iran to export their oil Iran then can't export oil to China. The regime is starved from their only source of funding. The US then negotiates from a position of power. Oil in exchange for all the nuclear material and equipment, all ballistic missile equipment. Iran is disarmed. In exchange, they can export their oil. The US has its own oil and gas...we don't need oil from Iran. Checkmate. ✅♟️
