ICRISAT participated in the “Integrated Utilization of Long-term Farm Household Panel Data in Asia and Africa” workshop, organized by Kyoto University, Japan, from 6–8 December 2025. The workshop brought together CGIAR partners and representatives from participating countries to strengthen a community of practice on panel data and advance cross-country research. Dr Shalander Kumar (@kumar_shalander), Principal Scientist, ICRISAT, showcased ICRISAT’s VLS–VDSA high-frequency farm household dataset, highlighting its value for development economics, designing targeted agricultural technologies, and informing policies that support transformative agricultural systems.

ICRISAT recognized by @FAO for its technical leadership in advancing sustainable agrifood systems at the #FAO80 and #WorldFoodDay ceremony in Rome. @ICRISAT was honored for its work in conserving chickpea germplasm and developing improved, resilient varieties.

ICRISAT convened a high-level review meeting today at the #Bihar Centre of Excellence for Millets Value Chain (BCoEMVC), #Mayapur, #Gaya. The visiting team comprised Dr Stanford Blade, Deputy Director General; Dr Rebbie Harawa, Global Research Program Director – RFFS; Dr Kuldeep Singh, Head of Genebank; and Dr Ramesh Singh, Cluster Head – IDC; and other key scientists from ICRISAT. They were joined by Dr Ismaeil, Deputy Director (Agriculture), Government of Bihar.
