Fuel tax cut announced.
And Canadians need to thank Pierre Poilievre.
It was his idea.
Two weeks ago Pierre Poilievre called on the government to:
-Suspend the gas tax
-Remove the GST on fuel
-Eliminate the clean fuel standard
-Until end of year
-25 cents savings per litre
Today Mark Carney announced Pierre Poilievre’s plan.
Except:
-Only the excise tax
-No GST relief
-Clean fuel standard untouched
-Ends Labour Day
-10 cents savings per litre
Then mocked Poilievre for suggesting it THIS MORNING.
Before stealing it THIS AFTERNOON.
This is what a strong opposition does.
It forces a majority government’s hand.

While the Carney Liberals sought a costly majority achieved through backroom deals, their other Liberal MPs were blocking our efforts to get to the bottom of the Finance Minister’s conflicts on the Alto Rail boondoggle.
Kudos to our Conservative MPs at the ethics committee who will continue to hold conflicted Liberals to account.

Indeed. And what makes it extremely difficult is the betrayal by a few conservatives who fell under the lure of financial gain via spurious means- hard to prove but this is how many European politicians have come to support globalist agendas. The Crime Minister reminds me of Satan offering Christ vast amounts of wealth in exchange for compliance and the floor crossers remind me of Faust who sold his soul to the devil in exchange for very little.
