We destroyed Iraq. We destroyed Afghanistan. And the people behind all that destruction, all that killing, the people who sent me to war are still in power. Still sending young Americans to die thousands of miles from home.

‘The Serpent in the Grove’ by Jamir Nazir is a story set in rural Trinidad about a struggling farmer, a silenced young wife and a grove that seems to remember what others try to bury. Awarded the Caribbean regional winner title for its lyrical precision and haunting atmosphere, the story stood out for the confidence and restraint of its voice. When Trump had inflation down to sub 2% and gas was $2 a gallon everyone said he was ruining his presidency because he was arresting and deporting migrants (which he still is) It’s no wonder he’s not listening anymore

There are 4m Muslims in the UK and 66m people who aren’t. We are told that those 4m have overwhelmed the 66 million without the 66 million noticing. Fakest news.

@politicalmath idlerambling.substack.com/p/yes-trump-is… Here is the post again, to read. The reason the explicit "include_emergency=False" flag even exists is that I implemented a way to... include emergencies! And ran it! And it shows more or less the same thing!

Since @politicalmath specifically asked to be corrected, here's a correction (figures, links, github below). Summary: * An independent analyst has replicated and verified the Politico chart * The gap still exists whether you use states with all D Senators and Governor, majority Dem Sen/Gov, or just Dem Gov * The gap still exists if you use natural disasters or all requests * Even with the small sample size, the difference is statistically significant * Trump himself specifically says he's doing this. When he denies aid, his press team will say things like "we're doing this because they shelter illegals". When he gives aid, he points out how often the state voted for him.

I’m curious how any right winger actually engages this Clear direct evidence that their worldview is wrong, and liberals are more magnanimous to their political opponents than conservatives are in this situation I suppose you just run and hide back in your echo chamber
