@SirClmnt I pay the highest tax rate, for me it’s more about the sheer lack of value and constant waste of all tax payers money.

EVERY SINGLE JOB SHOULD PAY A LIVING WAGE. If the work matters enough to hire someone to do it, that worker should be able to afford a safe comfy home, fresh nutritious food, a fun vacation sometimes and enough left to save. YES EVERY SINGLE JOB, INCLUDING YOURS.

I think London is one of the best cities in the world to make money and one of the worst cities in the world to enjoy spending it. Every person I know there is either building something or trying to escape it

Many people will tell you that money can't buy happiness. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. Anyone saying this is either poor and coping or so rich that dollars = air. Money makes everything better.

@omgsidewalks Safe to assume you’ve never owned a business. No idea the amount of blood, sweat and tears that go into it. Building a successful business from nothing is one of the most difficult things to do.

@PathOfMen_ I’m not sure, I grow up in a very deprived area of London, I got an opportunity when I left school at 16 and made the most of it, my children have lived a life far removed from mine. It was hard work for me, but I made the most of that, with knock backs, but resilience

The average house price around Buckingham Palace is 1.4m. If you put down 10% and took out a 25 year fixed mortgage at the current default rate of 3.75% your mortgage would be £6478 a month. X12 months = £77735 a year.

$72,000 salary is paycheck to paycheck. $4,000 disappears every month. Where’s it going? Chaos. Debt. Inflation. Just a few years ago this was enough to have a great life.

@Owennfa My parents bought a house in Lynbrook, Long Island in 1992 for $230,000. That house(and the surrounding houses) are now "worth" close to $800,000 while salaries(for the most part) have not gone up anywhere near the same rate. It's absolute nonsense!!

BOOMER: “We bought our first house at 25.” ME: “How much was it?” BOOMER: “$45,000.” ME: “What were you making?” BOOMER: “$15,000 a year.” ME: “So 3 years of salary.” BOOMER: “Exactly. We worked hard.” ME: “Houses are $420,000 now.” ME: “Average salary is $60,000.” ME: “That’s 7 years of salary.” BOOMER: “You kids just don’t save.” ME: “We save. We just can’t afford to buy.” BOOMER: “That’s because you’re lazy.” ME: “Or the system changed and you benefited from it.” BOOMER: “That’s not my fault.” ME: “No. But stop blaming us for noticing.”

@Se_Railway Stuck on one. A lot of frustration on the train as other train companies using the same line are still moving up and down the track. Perhaps the announcement/guard/driver could inform the train why.

@robsum58 @RodinSimi I’m a West Ham fan and I have to say I agree with all of those points. To think the premier league has turned out this way. Most clubs in the PL are so commercial now and that has taken away from the traditional football supporter/roots. Point 4 might still be a struggle for us🤣

@RodinSimi As a Spurs fan, 1: What’s the point of staying up with this team. 2: Do I give a toss about rich owners trying to make more 3: Celebrating a goal when the ball hits the back of the net instead of waiting for someone in Stockley 4: Winning 5: No Tourists

Rio Ferdinand on Tottenham Hotspur staying up over West Ham United: “I don’t think there’s a sane football fan who genuinely wants Tottenham to go down, apart from a few delusional Arsenal fans. Tottenham are a massive club, and under De Zerbi they’ve shown real fight and quality. They deserved to win today, and unlike certain clubs, they’re not relying on controversial decisions every week. A stadium that beautiful simply doesn’t belong in the Championship. I still believe De Zerbi will keep them up.” (Fiction)

@IRGChadt @LouStagner Shrink the game. Problem is the etiquette in the game is quickly disappearing. Very hard to compare golf to other sports. Silence should happen when a player is over the ball.
