I have been following this discussion for a while and I didn't want to comment. However,I couldn't resist anymore. I believe there's absolutely nothing wrong with Dhamburos @BMutebuka objectively critically analysing some of the dark arts & underhand gentleman's agreement taking place within the body politic of our politics vis a vis Chiwenga faction, Tendai Biti/ CDF. As such it is foolhardy for anyone to attempt to dismiss, stifle debate and silence objective critique or around these issues. It is an open secret in the power retention games and political shenanigans of Zimbabwean transactional and treacherous politics. That, there's always a bipartisan political brinkmanship that always takes place among political elites across the both sides of political divide. Thus in the dim lit corridors of power, ( far from the madding crowd)political elites both in the opposition & ruling party have always cut sweetheart deals; 1) By 1984, Obert Mpofu was already in an incestuous relationship with the ZANU PF, whilst his cdes in PF ZAPU & PF ZAPU supporters were catching the genocidal hell at the hands of ZANU PF. 2) Fast forward to February 2008, it is a well known fact that Thoko Khupe who was the VP of MDCT and other snr MDCT officials. Where surreptitiously dealing with ZANU PF. As such, Thoko Khupe and other MDCT officially vociferously and adamantly refused and scuppered the grand idea and concept of uniting MDCT & MDC Mutambara. And run the March 2008 General Elections as a United front/ United entity. Had MDCT and MDC Mutambara united, there was a greater possibility that the 8% vote that went to Simba Makoni would have gone to the United MDC. Because, the MDC Mutambara later on endorsed the Mavambo project & Simba Makoni candidature in February 2008. 3) We fast forward to the November 2017 coup d'etat. Again between 2015 and November 2017. The Lacoste 🇫🇷🐊 faction of Emmerson Mnangagwa. Had deeply embedded itself in the ecosystem of organized opposition the MDCT. Lacoste🇫🇷🐊 had sleeper cells within the MDCT. Coupled with the fact that the Lacoste🇫🇷🐊 faction from 2015 was seriously engaging with the senior opposition stalwarts such as Chamisa, Khupe (since 2008) and with Morgan Tsvangirai. Thrashing out permutations and ironing out by ins & by outs of removing Mugabe & post Mugabe power sharing arrangements and elite pacting. Therefore, coming to Dhamburos @BMutebuka revelations about the alleged post Mnangagwa elite pacting and elite cooption. That among other things, there's a possibility of sweetheart deal with Tendai Biti. I think it would be reprehensible for @Chofamba to attempt to police the debate and stifle debate around the reports that, they might be a reciprocal assimilation of the elites, vis a vis Biti Finance Ministry position in Chiwenga administration. Steve Bantu Biko argued that "leadership is incompatible with security". As such adopting a reductionist stance, that exposing the revelations that Biti is likely to a beneficiary of Chiwenga's largesse as the Finance Minister, puts Biti's life in mortal danger. I don't think it does hold water. ZWE & Zweans are still nursing the catastrophic wounds of treachery, betrayal and double faced approaches by supposedly opposition stalwarts incahoots with the ZANU PF officials and ZANU PF government. Thus, from the Pitfalls of Kuitiswa of Nov 2017, Mwonzora debacle and treachery of 2020, upto to the present day shenanigans of Tshabangu. Consequently, there's circumstantial evidence which at one time pointed to the fact that Tendai Biti had a vested interest in Tshabangu's reign of terror and was politically and personal invested in Tshabangu's vindictive project. Biti only chickened out after Tshabangu's collateral damage to the soul and healthy of parliamentary democracy became untenable. I believe if there's objective evidence of opposition elites cutting sweetheart deals with ZANU PF it needs to be interrogated

Last year on 13 December 2025 he had this to say(video attached), 6 months down the line, nothing has materialized. This “Chapwati” only surfaces when certain genuine democrats are on to something against the regime. Clearly there is a strategy and role playing to this. I have said it before, the plan is to mobilize unsuspecting, gullible citizens and pacify them. This has been the case since 2018.

Dismissing critics with insults is what people do when they can't answer the substance. A parliament elected under conditions that #SADC declared fell short of democratic standards is now being used to remove Zimbabweans' right to elect their own president. If these MPs truly have the people's mandate, a referendum should hold no fear. The refusal to hold one is quite telling. | #Zimbabwe #CAB3

The funny thing about Hopewell is that he is really good at criticizing other people on social media but when you critique his view points and arguments and if he sees that his thought process is flawed he blocks you. He is very emotional, such people should not lead @daddyhope

Linking @BitiTendai with a supposedly coup government is dangerous and putting a target on his head. We respect the job Mr Biti and his team are doing at @cdfzim. We will continue to be friends of him and CDF together with likes of @JamesonTimba @DubekoSibanda and others.

@LynneStactia That's a very shallow argument. You openly supported Chiwenga and made us understand he was firmly in control. Up to now he has never said anything, not has he taken any action. His people are being decimated day in and day out, yet you want us to believe NC is to blame? Eish!

By virtue of being on the side of The General automatically it means she now belongs to Zanu Pf specifically on the side of the General camp. Now that the General did not manage to stop CAB3 as she dreamed she is now attacking President Chamisa, haa she doesn't rest for sure.

Kuita President Mu Zimbabwe you must be 40 years and a registered voter. @Chofamba @freemanchari @daddyhope are all above 40. Why are they not forming their own party to show Chamisa how it's done? They have CDF which they claim is not a political party because they are all fake

A troubling culture has taken root in Zimbabwean politics: the attempt to redefine criticism of political leaders as personal hatred. I reject that culture completely. If a political actor makes a political decision, I have the right to scrutinise it. If a politician adopts a strategy, I have the right to question it. If they speak, I have the right to analyse what they say. If they remain silent where leadership demands a response, I have the right to interrogate that silence. That is not hatred. Speaking on public affairs is what constitutes Active Citizenship. What concerns me is the growing tendency among some political supporters to weaponise emotion and sentimentality in public discourse. The objective is obvious: to stigmatise criticism, induce self-censorship, and ultimately shield political actors from thoroughgoing scrutiny. By labelling critics as “haters”, they seek to shift attention away from the substance of the argument and onto the supposed motives of the person making it. It is a rhetorical device designed to protect reputations rather than engage with ideas. I oppose this political culture because it is fundamentally anti-democratic. To express one’s ideas isn’t a claim to being right. People have the right to respond and challenge my views, and even demonstrate them to be flawed. That is the essence of public discourse, which is an integral pillar of democratic society and culture, and one in which I’m deeply invested as a journalist and commentator. No political actor is entitled to immunity from criticism. No leader is entitled to a protected status that places them beyond questioning. The affairs of the nation belong to the public, and those who seek to lead the nation must accept the scrutiny that comes with that responsibility. The distinction is simple. A politician’s private life is private. Their public conduct is public business. Their decisions, actions, omissions, strategy, messaging and leadership are all legitimate subjects of criticism, debate and analysis. Zimbabwe needs less censorship and more critical thinking. Less emotional blackmail and more reasoned argument. And less intolerance masquerading as loyalty. I will continue to participate in public discourse without fear or favour. Not because I believe I am necessarily right, but because free thought, free expression and robust debate are the lifeblood of a democratic society. The moment criticism is branded “hatred”, democracy begins to retreat. And I will oppose that culture wherever it appears.

@BhudhiGhivhi Chamisa made promises he couldn't keep 😅😅😅. Political relevance is a currency, people died for him and there are no results. Dont act like people didn't rally for him and voted and funded him for 10 years. Its called politics you have a time to deliver and if you dont 😅😅😅

➡️ I contend that the reason that ZANU PF is succeeding with all their malicious projects is because there are too many well-meaning people who are now afflicted by 'Chamisa Derangement Syndrome '. The main symptom is that you attack Chamisa more than the ZANU PF regime that is oppressing and looting Zimbabwe to destruction. And because of the brain fog caused by the syndrome, this focus on trying to take down Chamisa, who is not in government or in power, somehow makes sense to you...👀🤷🏾‍♂️
Freeman@freemanchari

BTW I watch as even Chamisa's supporters ridicule our efforts saying "Mandla" did not work. Yet we gave Chamisa his results within 24hrs and his V11s. If you want them ana Tapiwa Shumba. I feel for the 50 volunteers who took part in the operation unpaid for 2yrs .
