The very specific part of the podcast you're mentioning is where @marcusransom was talking about Apple's app containerization efforts. With Intune, if your employer utilizes and installs software that's job is to monitor your device and its details (including your serial number) then it sounds like it's actually working exactly as intended.

@1Password in today’s podcast - “One of the details I really love is that they won't even know the serial number of your device because that serial number can be used for narrowing down who you are or identifying.” My work says they can see serial number with Intune MDM?
