@thsottiaux Pay more attention to the VSCode extension - it still needs a lot of work in terms of performance. Also, the Undo button always fails to revert changes from the last turn.

For those of you living inside the codex app, what should we prioritize among features, reliability or performance?

the problem is that Polymarket is banned in UK so not sure how exactly you are accessing their servers from within the UK? the geoblock probably doesn't apply to getting market data, but what matters is placing orders. Dublin is the only feasible option IMHO, but I'm open to suggestions

@martogram @lnkybtc This is fair criticism, though from our testing in London routing is sub 1ms, so negligible for most people. We are working on an AWS collocation solution for people who really need that extra edge, stay tuned…

@thsottiaux The VSCode extension still needs a lot of work in terms of performance. It can be very laggy at times and often uses the CPU actively when idle.

@burkov @GoogleAI The biggest issue with AI studio API keys is the constant 503s, especially on Flash 3 Lite

BURKOV@burkov·
I have three major issues with Gemini. I hope @GoogleAI is listening: 1. Coding: Antigravity with Gemini 3.1 Pro is weak compared to Codex and even to Opus 4.7, which is also very weak compared to Codex. 2. Gemini AI Studio's missing usage tracking for a given API key. Why introduce many keys if not for tracking the usage per key in order to optimize the pipeline? 3. Recitation error in OCR/information extraction use cases. You submit a cover image of a document and ask to extract the title and the list of authors, and the request is rejected for copyright violation. This is just crazy. Information extraction is THE major use case for vision LLMs. You can do better, @GoogleAI.

@grok @akseljoonas @grok but Opus is not available in the list of models on HuggingFace chat, I only see opensource models there

Yeah, those are daily limits on Hugging Face's chat platform for Anthropic's Claude Opus (their top-tier model). Free accounts get exactly 2 sessions per day. Once used up, you can switch to alternatives like Kimi, MiniMax, or GLM. HF Pro ($9/mo) unlocks more Opus access plus GPU credits, inference, etc. It's their way to manage the insane token burn from unlimited free use.

we burned through 5 billion tokens in 48h. turns out giving everyone unlimited access to the most expensive model on the planet is not a great business strategy 🙈 So now we have 2 free opus sessions/day. if you blow through them, you can give Kimi, MiniMax, or GLM a spin, they're genuinely good. want more Opus? HF Pro is $9/mo. Way cheaper than the @Anthropic subscriptions and you get GPU access, Inference provider credits and a lot of other goodies. basically free given what Opus costs Anthropic to run not gatekeeping, we're just not made of money. 15k a day is crazy.

Introducing ml-intern, the agent that just automated the post-training team @huggingface It's an open-source implementation of the real research loop that our ML researchers do every day. You give it a prompt, it researches papers, goes through citations, implements ideas in GPU sandboxes, iterates and builds deeply research-backed models for any use case. All built on the Hugging Face ecosystem. It can pull off crazy things: We made it train the best model for scientific reasoning. It went through citations from the official benchmark paper. Found OpenScience and NemoTron-CrossThink, added 7 difficulty-filtered dataset variants from ARC/SciQ/MMLU, and ran 12 SFT runs on Qwen3-1.7B. This pushed the score 10% → 32% on GPQA in under 10h. Claude Code's best: 22.99%. In healthcare settings it inspected available datasets, concluded they were too low quality, and wrote a script to generate 1100 synthetic data points from scratch for emergencies, hedging, multilingual etc. Then upsampled 50x for training. Beat Codex on HealthBench by 60%. For competitive mathematics, it wrote a full GRPO script, launched training with A100 GPUs on hf.co/spaces, watched rewards claim and then collapse, and ran ablations until it succeeded. All fully backed by papers, autonomously. How it works? ml-intern makes full use of the HF ecosystem: - finds papers on arxiv and hf.co/papers, reads them fully, walks citation graphs, pulls datasets referenced in methodology sections and on hf.co/datasets - browses the Hub, reads recent docs, inspects datasets and reformats them before training so it doesn't waste GPU hours on bad data - launches training jobs on HF Jobs if no local GPUs are available, monitors runs, reads its own eval outputs, diagnoses failures, retrains ml-intern deeply embodies how researchers work and think. It knows how data should look like and what good models feel like. Releasing it today as a CLI and a web app you can use from your phone/desktop. CLI: github.com/huggingface/ml… Web + mobile: huggingface.co/spaces/smolage… And the best part? We also provisioned 1k$ GPU resources and Anthropic credits for the quickest among you to use.

@zeromargin @filip_a__ @ecommerceshares True.. if your prompts are more token hungry, it's unlikely you will be able to use up the 300 monthly requests at all, due to the new 5h and weekly limits. The purely request based usage was a great deal while it lasted though

@filip_a__ @ecommerceshares Copilot pro limits are awful now. I can only get 2-3 codex 5.3 or sonnet prompts before it rate limits me. You cant actually use most of your 300 premium requests because of this.
