@Keller @Sim89776996 America could learn to build cars again: Dude even the most patriotic car brands that scream America don’t build their vehicles there, the only ones who build vehicles here are the Japanese and Tesla. This is so American, immigrants working harder than those who are here.

@Sim89776996 America could learn to build cars again. Google is a 4 trillion dollar company. Learning to manufacture things seems like it would be strategically valuable for Google in a future of AI and robotics.

Wow, I just learned that Waymo's next-gen robotaxi is built on top of a Chinese vehicle platform. Is Google's vision really to build a national autonomous rideshare across the US on top of a Chinese car? This seems insane. Is this common knowledge?

@the_transit_guy It's too hot to walk. If you go from the mall to the car on the parking lot you're already sweating.

Florida is so walkable that it's a 46-minute walk to cross a single street to the train station in Aventura.

@biggucci303 @zan2434 @eddiejiao_obj @drewocarr Yea while going against all accessibility standards on web, no grantees control over content (picture are stream per session) and grantees you are not going to land any government contracts as the implementation will definitely violate section 508

Imagine every pixel on your screen, streamed live directly from a model. No HTML, no layout engine, no code. Just exactly what you want to see. @eddiejiao_obj, @drewocarr and I built a prototype to see how this could actually work, and set out to make it real. We're calling it Flipbook. (1/5)

So I just got my first Amex, can anyone confirm whether it’s normal that they don’t allow me to pay off the card before it starts bearing interest?? Because if so I’m canceling this thing asap

@LaocoonsJournal @ShitpostRock2 I understand the logic for interstate transportation, but I still think Maine should grow their own oranges instead of shipping them from the South or California

@ExtremeCen80240 @_ChanFace @NoJetsTO The core feature of the Portland is the lower don flood mitigation work, which essentially is a giant park plus green trails system, to ensure these mitigation efforts will be financially sustainable you will need to generate additional tax revenue from some development

@_ChanFace @NoJetsTO The ENTIRE Portlands should be a park. Torontonians demand it. It would be our magnificent Central Park right between east and west. Yes, combine it with the Islands. We have NO downtown park, need a big one. But NO to even more UGLY towers creating wind tunnels at ground level

Here's what is currently planned for Toronto's waterfront and Portlands vs the height restrictions that the Billy Bishop Airport runway extension would create.

I agree, @Urban_Toronto. It just makes sense to loop the Ontario Line up to Bloor-Dundas West. This is the second largest mobility hub in Toronto.

@FthePump1 @cybertruck @Tesla @TeslaClubSoCal @SoCalEVs To recharge an EV, the power starts at the Hydro dam. It is sent over long distances to your home. Every mile the power travels there is energy loss, every power transfer is energy loss. By the time it comes into your car you have lost a considerable amount of power.

@FiZxMiKe @grok @TesCalendar1 Just like @grok will likely tell you, the grid have a lot of remaining capacity both in generation and delivery, just not during peak hours, a lot of American EVs owners do charge their car at home overnight or at work when the price(demand) for electric is lower

@David1276615190 @the_transit_guy Using the same logic, LGA to/from IAD only see 4-6 round trip, this trip is much shorter then SFO/LAX pair and see estimated 100k in annual ridership for United. And somehow North East Corridor is the most profitable rail corridor, and LGA/IAD is also profitable.

@David1276615190 @the_transit_guy And United could ONLY serve 93k because both airports are at capacity, especially LAX when all major airlines use it as a hub. The demand is far from fill and this business class seat across all these airlines are in such high demand.
