@maustermuhle @MayorBowser The DC Council routinely passes emergency legislation along with the permanent version of the bill so that the measure goes into effect immediately. They twice punted on passing an Emergency Curfew bill that would have prevented a lapse. They should fix this asap!

I can’t wait for the local news to send out reporters to stand next to big piles of salt and then spend 2:30 on a piece narrating a half-empty bread aisle. Pro tip: just give the meteorologist the extra time. Add value. Not fluff. Viewers don’t need a pile of salt.
