@Tslachan I legitimately don't understand how anyone can say anything currently available in the $45k price range can beat a Model Y. Will be different once iX 3 is here if you don't care about ADAS.

Rivian Universal Hands-Free vs Tesla Self-Driving This was my first time testing Rivian's new Universal Hands-Free, and I was honestly surprised by how it performed. I understand this is their first attempt and it will only improve from here, but truthfully, it is worse than any version of FSD or Autopilot I have ever used. I respect Rivian as a company, but I always try to remain unbiased in my opinions, so here are my unfiltered thoughts on where UHF stands today. Hoping to test it more as the system receives major updates! Hope you all enjoy the video. The reason Tesla’s Full Self-Driving can go thousands of miles between reported accidents is because the human supervisor intervenes when the system makes critical errors.

Second time today having to back into Superchargers with no backup camera. Will likely clear with soft reboot, but this is getting old @LucidMotors as bumped into this one. Earlier today it slammed on brakes a foot short. 🤦♂️ Gravity is such a great driving luxury machine with incredible packaging & 95% of the time the software is excellent. The last 5% is aggravating at times. Last update fixed so much, but still lots to work on for the software team.

Road trip ended. Trip in @LucidMotors Gravity cost me $151.86 for 1100 mile trip. All charging was exclusively on @Tesla Superchargers. Every session was flawless & ridiculously fast. Gravity charges like a beast!

@Michael_L_Rauch @TravisKetchum @LucidMotors @Tesla Yeah my Blazer EV would be around 1.8-2, I bet. Similar sized vehicle. Not bad really. The Gravity would offer a good range with well over 100 kWh usable and 2.4.

@TravisKetchum @LucidMotors @Tesla Not sure how efficient as I was hammering it around 80-85mph the whole trip. Efficiency was in the 2.4 miles per kilowatt hour.

@MayurPurohit201 @LucidMotors @Tesla No intervention take overs I didn’t do myself. Was pretty good other than too many nags with “hands in wheel” & “eyes on road” anytime no matter how short I looked at infotainment screen. But annoying when trying to look at charging stop quick or select a podcast.
