@jbinnall @tedlieu Honestly that few typos was impressive for a brief written in like 3 days tops. And I say this as someone who is ideologically opposed to your client

Did Luther add words to the Bible? Romans 3:28 doesn’t say “faith alone” in the Greek or Latin… But Martin Luther added “allein” (alone) in his German translation Ohhhhhhh the Desperation💧

@Rhetorary @CorrieJanse @FightForMary @CatholicDrip___ I recently heard a talk about how the Jews removed these books from Jewish writings in the first century. Because they confirm several early Christian thought. Supposedly that’s why they’re in Septuagint but not in later writings. Just a talk that I heard but haven’t followed up

@michaelshane460 @CorrieJanse @FightForMary @CatholicDrip___ The dogmatic authority of the deuterocanon was not settled until trent, everyone before trent were disputing on the dogmatic authority of these books between the augustinian or jeromian view. But the bible was 73 books since the 4th century 🤗🤗🤗

@FightForMary @Rhetorary @CorrieJanse @CatholicDrip___ One could make that argument, but celibacy is an only a discipline of the RCC clergy not a doctrine or dogma. Luther was excommunicated and a papal bull was issued for his execution. There have been Popes who had illegitimate children. Call balls and strikes on both sides.

@Rhetorary @CorrieJanse @FightForMary @CatholicDrip___ The canon was not settled until Trent. There had been debate over the canon for centuries. Lutherans still have an open canon. Let’s attribute to Luther what he actually did, not everything that happened afterward there were other players such as Calvin and the King of England.

@CatholicDrip___ Luther may have been wrong about many things, but not this one. You’re justified by faith alone. This is from the council of Trent. What Trent anathematized was in intellectual faith and “without cooperation” meaning you have free will.

@realCarola2Hope Comes from the cult of Jack Chick. Thou shall only read from the KJV because thou knowest Jesus only spoke jacobethan English, thou shall learn theology from thy chick trac. If thou disagrees with Pope Jack thou shall burn in hellfire damnation. And other nonsense.

@aburkhartlaw The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is why the bullet is described as "from the jacket". Everything reported on the case (what is public) is that there is no exit wound.

Foremost, I can confirm that there is no gun listed on Charlie’s death certificate. That is atypical in Utah cases where the gun is recovered and known. I was told that Dr. Trotter was phoned by Erika and Andrew Kolvet on the day of Charlie’s private Catholic Funeral Mass. Erika initiated the phone call, wanting something they could share with the public which might reasonably explain why the 30-06 bullet did not pierce through Charlie’s neck. Dr. Trotter is a hunter and said that he wasn’t sure but suggested ‘perhaps’ it was a frangible round. Erika then said she was sure it was because Charlie ate healthy and likely had a man of steel neck. Andrew then tweeted (with Erika’s full permission), a quote that was not ever uttered by Dr. Trotter. Months later Erika would lie to my face and claim that Andrew went rogue, AND the surgeon went rogue (violating HIPPA) and that she was not at all a part of their conversation or its resulting tweet. This is one of many reasons I began to see her as deceitful and worthy of further investigation. There is no viable reason why the bullet— a fuller bullet—was not recovered from Charlie’s body. It could not have simply shattered into a bunch of unrecognizable shards, were it not a frangible round (something readily understood by the surgeon himself). And to be clear, it was not a frangible round.

@In_awe_of_God You would have to define what you think Sola Scriptura is. It means final authority. If you have traditional a - b - & c. & “c”goes against scripture you reject it. & if “b” is neither in scripture nor forbidden by it, it is adiaphora.

Question for my Catholic Friends: If you were convinced that Sola Scriptura is taught in the Bible but the Pope would explicitly proclaim sola Scriptura a heresy ex cathedra, what would you do?

@CatholicDrip___ Some Baptist. But there is Fundamental Baptist that are very vocal anti catholic. Think Jack Chick and chick tracts, KVJ only nonsense that leads to people like Fred Phelps. They are not the majority but it is what people tend to think when you mention Baptist.

@timmoore1973 @CatholicArena I agree with most of this, but I don’t believe he is for “open borders” the way politicians in the US have allowed. And I hope he isn’t in communion with Islam. Redistribution via Gov, I think he’s wrong in that. He should seeking unity with confessional Lutherans & Anglicans

“It's very unfortunate that abortion is such a big issue for everybody" — Dave Rubin Rubin used 18 embryos to have a baby. He destroyed life, rented a womb to design a baby for he and his husband. He’s not pro-life. Why is he platformed by the Daily Wire, Fox News and the Blaze?

@JesusIsLord0405 Fallible humans make mistakes. Sometimes they do it on purpose. Power corrupts. Add to that 2000 years, and it gets very complex. Our problem today is we try to cram 2000 years of complex history in a 280 character X post. And talk past each other.

@MadAnthony75667 @emeriticus A Catholic does not have to be a “fan“ of the pope. But to Catholics he is the head of the church. Honest protestant should say, he is the most visible representation of Christianity. All of us catholic and protestant alike need to pray for him, and our secular leadership.

JD Vance knows he messed up. He was supposed to pretend to be a Catholic, do the whole pious statesman charade ahead of 2028, but he underestimated how unpopular he is, so attacking the pope was like putting his hand in hornet’s nest. Now he wants to save face, but the damage is done. I guess JD will just have to change his name again and write a third memoir when this is over.
JD Vance@JDVance

I am grateful to Pope Leo for saying this. While the media narrative constantly gins up conflict–and yes, real disagreements have happened and will happen–the reality is often much more complicated. Pope Leo preaches the gospel, as he should, and that will inevitably mean he offers his opinions on the moral issues of the day. The President–and the entire administration–work to apply those moral principles in a messy world. He will be in our prayers, and I hope that we'll be in his.

@hopesatlas @emeriticus In a nutshell, justification is what saves you, this was done by Christ on the cross. Sanctification is what grows you. This is a synergy, and it is perfectly compatible with scripture. all of scripture.

@hopesatlas @emeriticus Saying this allows protestants to use various scriptures against you. The real point, the Catholic Church teaches that the act of justification is the act that makes you ultimately holy. Protestants would call this a walk, their walk in the Lord.
