I do not want another bot response. I want a REAL person to sit down and actually watch what I make and my APPEAL VIDEO. Anyone who does will immediately see that this decision makes NO SENSE.

A message to @YouTubeCreators @TeamYouTube @nealmohan @reneritchie and every YouTuber that suffers from "Inauthentic content".
I'm a French comedian and YouTuber with over 12 years on the platform. I run 2 YouTube channels (714K and 350K subs) with more than 400 million views on long-form videos. I create comedy podcasts and gaming content, and I do everything myself: filming, editing, and appearing on camera.
Overnight, both channels were demonetized. I made 2 appeal videos — zero views. Every appeal was rejected with the exact same copy-paste automated message.
No human support from YouTube. After 12 years and building two big communities, this treatment is unacceptable.
This broken system is destroying the lives (literally!) and careers of thousands of genuine, original creators.
Please comment, share, and tag YouTube. This needs to stop.

YouTube demonetized my channel for "Inauthentic content" a few days ago. I want to tell you my full story because I think people need to hear it. I run a history and education channel on YouTube. Every single video starts with hours of academic research. I pull from real scholarly sources, primary historical records, and published academic works. I write every script completely from scratch. I physically film everything myself. I appear on camera in every single video. I manually edit every cut. I hand design every thumbnail. This is not automated content. This is not mass produced. This is me, showing up, doing the work, every single time. YouTube demonetized my channel for "Inauthentic content" and removed $5,000 from me. Money I needed. Gone overnight with no warning and no real explanation. I made an appeal video walking through my entire creation process step by step. It was never watched. An AI rejected it before a single human ever saw it. The response I received was a copy paste message that thousands of other creators got word for word. I have reached out. Of course you “looked” into my appeal video… it feels like no one can get human support anymore. Everything is automated, no real human review. YouTube still runs ads on our content while creators lose monetization. Our work generates revenue for the platform while we’re left with nothing 🙁

My channel with 307K subscribers and over 72 million views has been demonetized for "inauthentic content" and I urgently need human escalation.
I took several days to create a detailed appeal video explaining my full production process: how we write our stories, structure the content, edit the videos, prepare the final uploads, and make sure everything is authentic and original to our workflow.
Despite that, the appeal was rejected extremely quickly. I later confirmed through YouTube Support that it was not reviewed through human verification. My CMS partner also contacted support, but they received the same automated/robotic responses without proper escalation.
This is very concerning because any proper human review of my appeal video and channel workflow can clearly see that the content is created, written, edited, and managed by us. It is not spam, reused, mass-produced, or misleading content.
This decision affects years of work, a large audience, and my business. Please urgently escalate this case to a human policy specialist for a real manual review.

With all due respect! Did you look at the story? For the thumbnails i create myself most of the cases! And i don’t see anything wrong with that? The stories i write them myself and i do research in all available sources! The video editing is manual and requires a lot of effort ! Please do not underestimate estimate people’s hard work! You are just hurting my case for no reason! I’m 100% sur when youtube see my appeal video they will monetize it again because i showed all materials used for editing, the video editing process, the invoices, the thumbnail folder in Canva..etc EVERYTHING! Stop saying it’s AI slop! I’m a software engineer and no way in this life someone can automate my work.

Hey Bryan, thanks for taking time to see my channel, maybe you got the wrong idea! Youtube never said that Using the same voice is forbidden! Compiled images you say? I would advice, 80 % of my content is in the writing, search to find the correcr right information! I understand that for someone who is not deeply familiar with the content or the story it may sound very low effort video for him! But if you see how much effort you will be surprised! I have video editor and script writers paid monthly and per project to be able to acheive such content.. try oneday to make such a video and you will see how much effort it’s needed to have such unique content seens by millions.. if you don’t put quality storytelling skills and quality editing! U will end up with 0 views.
I have been working on my channel for 8 years now! I’m totally familiar with every Youtube policy! I’m not an amateur content creator.

They won't give you a straight answer, but I chose 3 videos at random to check and they're all using the same AI voice and are compiled images and videos that you don't own. You are at best an aggregator, and it's no longer covered under youtube's monetization policies.
the best thing youtube can do is come out and be honest about specifically which types of channels cannot be monetized anymore, because there's a lot of room for doubt and uncertainty here. The tldr is; if you don't own it, you can't monetize it - and since this is a youtube policy rather than based in copyright law, there's no defense (including fair use) that matters. The question is simply: did you create everything in the video, and the answer is no.
