🚨 @PAGOP’s #PAGOV pick Stacy Garrity confirms to @Laurenjmayk she would veto recreational marijuana in Pennsylvania.
Further, she says she knows @PASenateGOP “will never pass” legal weed as the majority.
This makes a Democratic trifecta the only path to legalize it.

eh I'd quibble with the "significant coattails in 2022" bit. Dems didn't flip state senate, sure, but they gained 12 House seats to flip the lower chamber. And somehow held it in 2024 (unlike Whitmer, Walz, who lost seats w Trump on ballot)

@TylerDinucci @daveweigel Issue with that is that a) most polls are still weighted to 2024 recall and b) polls have historically underrated Dems with black voters - but especially so in recent years, especially polling in 2025. This is all mostly noise when polling this group is notoriously difficult

In VA, for example, Spanberger won 93% of the black vote against a black GOP nominee.

I’ve seen a lot of about this so my two cents.
This is simple.
Governing a city is HARD-this is the responsible thing to do, US Senate terms are 6 YEARS.
You can’t afford to not get Fed resources back to your underfunded city because folks don’t like optics.

The IA-03 poll has Rob Sand up 47-40 over Feenstra in that district with a +23% positive favorability rating too. Sand needs to win IA-03 by closer to 10 imo in order to win statewide

Virginia GOP did good job getting their voters out
But they were digging out of a 15% hole in the Governor’s race
Made up a lot of that with turnout and persuasion
But ultimately couldn’t get margins they needed in the blue parts of Virginia

Turnout in the redistricting vote was down about 10.7% from what the 2025 gov race saw. Gold localities = smaller drop Purple localities = larger drop Basically, turnout was the strongest, relative to 2025, in dark gold localities.

Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

On Tuesday, Democrats recorded their biggest over-performance in a special congressional election in the Trump era in Georgia.
They also won a state Supreme Court race in Wisconsin by 20 points -- the biggest margin in such a race since 2000.
