@streets_chennai @ChennaiTraffic All Swiggy, Zomato and other delivery executives drive on the wrong side, enter into one way, take u turn where it is not allowed. SRP tools signals is an example where no U turn board is placed still most of the people take U Turn and authorities really don't care

@aerowanderer @chennaicorp @chennaipolice_ The root problem is city planning. Commercial places all over. No proper infra. Mostly Bristish leftover of major planning and infra. We just watch haphazard growth with band aid solutions. Police don't want to enforce their own laws.

There is a Malaysian restaurant in Pondy Bazaar which encourages cars to be parked on the pavement despite the inconvenience caused & inspite of bollards being installed. Have brought this to the notice of both @chennaicorp as well as the @chennaipolice_ but to no avail. I do also have to point out this is a school zone. Request the authorities to take immediate action regarding parking of vehicles on the footpath. Quite a shame that violation of such basic etiquette regarding public space has to be brought out on social media.

@UpdatesChennai All MRTS stations have very good space and can allocate some space for street vendors so pavement becomes free for walking and MRTS has huge Parking space to support vehicle parking, roads can become free from encroachment and unwanted parking @cmrlofficial @reclaimchennai

@reclaimchennai @motordave2 All these stunts done by parents when they were kids is just getting reflected, a simple mistake can lead permanent disability or death. People have to understand and stop rushing like this, also should refrain from taking opposite lane when a heavy is stopped in small roads.

@itsakhilnair The main cause in general is that people don't wait and jump into opposite lanes for overtaking is we allow cars/small trucks to be parked on the main road itself. This is a biggest mistake causing a variety of problems. People need to think before parking or overtaking

What the hell is going on? Only two kinds of people would do something like this. Either the driver is mad, or he has a criminal mindset. His driving licence should be cancelled, and the bus should be seized. The owner of the bus should also be made an accused in the case and held accountable. @TheKeralaPolice @chennithala

The world will be a better place when car drivers understand they are the root cause of congestion in cities and it cant be fixed by adding more lanes above ground, because induced demand existing and private vehicles are not a scalable solution to that demand. Has any Indian city corporation actually tried to provide clean and accessible public urinals and toilets. Public toilets in Delhi were few and incredibly filthy. Lot of funds are used to maintain them, but predictably get siphoned off.
