Out of every disgusting, dishonest piece of filth the mainstream media has produced about Hurricane Helene... This is the worst. 60 Minutes has NEVER done a story on the families FEMA denied. They NEVER mentioned the Amish, who are STILL in the mountains rebuilding homes 550 days later. They NEVER mentioned Jake Jarvis, who has worked 550 days STRAIGHT FOR FREE for Hurricane Helene victims. Instead, they dug up some fringe conspiracy angle to smear the people who actually showed up as White Nationalists. I'm so angry. Let me tell you what 60 Minutes will NEVER report on I was there. I lived it. I am still here. I shared every story I could find. Me, my wife, hundreds of volunteers delivered RVs to mothers holding babies who were sleeping in TOOL SHEDS AND TENTS in the freezing cold, in the mountains. Because their homes had been ripped off the side of a mountain and washed down the French Broad. So tell me 60 Minutes... WHERE WAS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT? Tell me, WHY did all these volunteers NEED to show up? Any thoughts on that?!!!!! Any investigation AT ALL into the federal or state government's response to Hurricane Helene? Please tell me... if the federal government was doing such a GREAT JOB, why did we need to put victims in RVs... ...A MONTH AFTER THE HURRICANE?!!!!!!! Literally every single victim you talk to in Western North Carolina has a horror story about dealing with FEMA... ...and guess who they will all say actually cam through for them? Neighbors. Church groups. The Amish. The Cajun Navy. Shawn Hendricks. Samaritan's Purse. MercuryOne. The Mission Mules hauling insulin up washed-out roads, ONLY ACCESSIBLE by mules. Greg Biffle burning his own fuel in helicopters. Veterans like Adam Smith who organized helicopter rescues with other veterans BY HIMSELF and then was demonized by the media for it. Volunteers like Jake Jarvis working TO THIS DAY, 550 days later without ANY PAY AT ALL. THOSE ARE THE STORIES FROM HURRICANE HELENE WORTH TELLING. But 60 Minutes won't tell ANY OF THEM. Because the truth makes the federal government the villain and the "deplorables" are actually the heroes in this story and they can NEVER admit that. So instead they smeared the rescuers as white nationalists. This is unforgivable. I was there. I saw it with my own eyes. And I will BE DAMNED if I let CBS rewrite the history of what happened to my mountains.

@JenniferSey This is the wrong framing. Of course most families who have their act together enough for soccer practice have I.D. Dems are looking under rocks to find dummies without I.D. because it’s an excellent low-pass filter for targeting dependents & gullible voters.

My 9 year old daughter has to show official ID for a 3rd tier youth soccer tournament in Colorado. Yet the left will argue that having to show ID to vote is racist. And yes, there are plenty of non-white kids playing in this tournament. All showed ID.

Please read @AsraNomani's expose on May Day protests and May Day's deep connection to Communism! So proud to have been a small part of this. Why do "our democracy" people knowingly march alongside Communists and use them to advance their agenda? Because they don't care about ideology. Their real priority is a very specific kind of "freedom"... not the freedom that comes from limited government, but positive rights negotiated by institutions (i.e., themselves). The stability of those institutions is what guarantees this freedom, in their view. I can do a thread on this later if you're interested in how they define "freedom" in their own words... it's genuinely fascinating. But the short answer: Communism isn't a threat to them. It's just one ideology among many to be managed and negotiated. The institutions are what they mean by "democracy." As long as those survive, anything goes. That makes populism and small government conservatives the only true threatening ideologies.

I do think it’s funny that we’ve had an extremely obvious, blatant example of a far left government agency in a blue state retaliating against Elon Musk because of his political views, and nobody in the media cared even a little
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

The California Coastal Commission has issued a formal apology to @elonmusk and SpaceX, adding that it will not consider political views or speech in future regulatory decisions. • The Commission admits some officials made politically biased and improper statements about SpaceX and Elon Musk • It formally apologizes for those remarks • Agrees it will not consider political views or speech in future regulatory decisions • The Commission will NOT require coastal permits for most launch operations at Vandenberg Full statement: "The Commission agrees that it may not consider irrelevant factors in performing its function and specifically agrees that it will not take into account the perceived political beliefs, political speech, or labor practices of SpaceX or its officers in considering any regulatory action concerning SpaceX. The Commission acknowledges that Commissioners made statements, including during their October 10, 2024, hearing on the Base’s Falcon 9 launch program, that showed political bias against SpaceX and its CEO and were improper. The Commission apologizes for those statements, as set forth in the signed letter attached as Exhibit C." This filing means that SpaceX and the California Coastal Commission have reached a settlement in their federal lawsuit, and it provides long-term regulatory clarity for SpaceX for future Falcon 9 launches.

Pre-owned Tesla values are surging. According to data via CarGurus, the average price for a used Tesla has increased nearly 20% in the last 90 days. Increase in the last 90 days: • Model X: 33% • Model Y: 11% • Model 3: 10% • Model S: 9% • Cybertruck: 2%

Nothing infuriates an uninformed Congressional Dem more than when they realize they voluntarily triggered a debate with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, reads federal statute and adheres to Supreme Court precedent. Today’s self-implosion by @rosadelauro was quite remarkable to witness. Without apology or regret, I will always adhere to the best available reading of federal statute pursuant to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright.

SpaceX Starbase Pad 1 after Flight Test 1. If you wanted to know the power of 33 Raptor 2 engines, this is a prime example. I remember the skeptics saying the Starship program was over after this, and while a completely new pad was really the answer, they were able to repair the OLM and build a massive steel upside-down shower head that made it through 10 more flights 🚀

And there’s a 3rd group. They have followed Tesla and Elon for a long time. They realize they r not perfect and constructive criticism is good over emotional complaints. They offer grace, within reason, because they r trying to do what’s never been done. They see patterns and know better than to lay all their chips on a timeline that is a guess on something that many believed impossible to do. They don’t blame others for their actions. They sit there and are accused of being in one of two groups while they zoom out and see the bigger picture.

I've done this Tesla content thing for over 6 years now and I've always enjoyed watching social media reactions to earnings days. I have to admit though, I now see very clearly why so many people get annoyed with people that post about Tesla Almost everyone now sits in one of two camps. The first group is entirely annoyed with and disappointed by Tesla's missed timelines and constant promises that seem to perpetually be around the corner. They're disillusioned and won't have anything good to say until $TSLA is most valuable stock on earth. No matter what Tesla does for society, it will never be enough and they will always have something to complain about The second group will do anything they can to spin the narrative or twist Elon's words or create metrics that show things in a positive light, while being afraid to say anything negative. They have learned they will make more money, grow their accounts faster and have a better chance of Elon engaging with them if they take this permanently positive approach and look the other way when Tesla deserves reasonable criticism. Elon himself would tell you, Tesla has made many mistakes along the way, but if you only listen to certain Tesla creators, you would never know it The first group prioritizes emotions + frustrations > reality and the second group prioritizes money + influence > reality. It really is exhausting
