I buried my beloved mother the day before Thanksgiving. A few observations: 1) “She’s in a better place” is not helpful. 2) casseroles and food are very helpful 3) don’t forget cookies and cakes 4) you notice who shows up. 5) Weep with those who weep. Seriously.
