Well today is May 13, my due date, feels like it took forever, feels like it happened way too fast. Me and a friend of mine were due the exact same day, her baby was born healthy and safe, praise the Lord for that. I will never know why He takes some children and leaves others, all I pray is that our pain, our grief, and the life of the son we knew for so little can be used for the good and glory of God, and I am also so thankful for all of you, because for some reason knowing all of you here got to also know about him, brings me a wave of comfort and peace, so thank you to all of you who read my words, pray for our family, and care about my little boy.

This is a plea for prayers. 🙏🙏🙏 My little brother has liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). We're lucky it's in the early stages and the tumor is small. He will be undergoing ablation therapy in the morning. He lives in California and I live in Florida; I feel so helpless because praying is all I can do at this point. His name is Jim and although he was a pain in my butt growing up... I love him with all my heart.

Unfortunately my Wife was just admitted to the hospital. She went in for Chemo this afternoon, and she was so dehydrated, they couldn’t get IV access. So they’re putting in a PICC line, but they can’t do it until tomorrow. She needs fluids, blood, electrolytes and access for the Chemo. I’m sorry to ask for more prayers, but she’s in bad shape.

My 18 year old son is moving in with me after his high school graduation His mom and I divorced when he was 3, and she and her husband have done the heavy lifting until now. They’ve done a great job I’m going to do my very best to guide him into manhood He has decided to start OCIA and join the Catholic Church—entirely his decision Please pray for me as I do my best to help him avoid the bad decisions I made in early adulthood, for his mother as she deals with the pains of an eaglet flying the nest, and for my son to be true to God and to himself and to face the world with courage

I was thinking about the early Christians and how they went to their martyrdom singing and praising God. I wonder if my faith is that strong. If I could march into the equivalent of a wood chipper with a song of praise on my lips. I hope I never have to find out.

This mother said all she got for Mother’s Day was Happy Mother’s Day texts from her 18 and 20 year old kids. So she said she is going to match their energy and when it comes time she is just going to text them Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday this year and that’s it. She said she’s not complaining and loves them to death but she is ready to meet them where they are at now in their life. She said she is sick of going above and beyond for them and basically getting nothing in return. So no more whatever they want gifts, no more money, etc. Sounds a little bit to me like complaining. 🤷‍♂️ What do you think? Do you think she’s right in handling it this way? Do you think that’s a fair way to handle it? Or do you think she’s overreacting and they are just typical young adults? Do you do things for your kids expecting the same in return?

@Nicole183299 So beautiful - all of it: the young couple, the couple 70 years later, their amazing legacy, the church, and the Catholic Faith that guided them.

70 years of marriage for my parents. Eleven children, 68 grandchildren, 109 great grandchildren with 11 on the way. One of the grandsons is a priest and celebrated a Mass for them while other grandsons served. A schola by great granchildren. We filled the church. Blessed!!!
