In 2022, Rahul Gandhi spoke in detail about Tamil Nadu in parliament. He made this statement: "BJP will never, ever in your entire life, rule over the people of Tamil Nadu. It can't be done." The above statement wasn't taken seriously at that time in political circles. Unless some miracle happens, looks like it is almost impossible for BJP to come to power in Tamil Nadu. And BJP's central leadership inability to understand voters psychology in Tamil Nadu is one of the main reasons for it. BJP had a chance in long run because of Annamalai. With Annamalai being treated badly and he charting a new path, that chance for BJP is no longer available.
