@SirPizzly I’m going to be playing this with renekton. If he goes second he can drop this turn one, and have him empowered on a battlefield turn two lol

How did it get assembled? What makes it infallible? Who decided what is the word of God and what isn’t? Was there no source of authority prior to? And if there was, was that source of authority credible enough to assemble such an infallible authority? If so, why not anymore? If it was credible then but not now, how do you know it wasn’t credible before assembling the Bible?

@Babyhead91 Sola scriptura is not “all I need is my Bible”. It’s that the scripitures are the sole infallible authority.

@nt_slug @epke82 @DF_UniatePapist Faith, thus receiving and resting on Christ and his righteousness, is the alone instrument of justification; yet is it not alone in the person justified, but is *ever* accompanied with all other saving graces, and is no dead faith, but worketh by love. Galatians 5:6 West. Confe.

@epke82 @DF_UniatePapist Can you further elaborate on what it means to have faith that is alive? And after you do, can you then tell me if the definition of “alive fide” implies you should do more than believe God exists?

Thank you for your AI generated response. Yes, scale it up. It strengthens my argument. Try to think it through instead of copy pasting it into ChatGPT. The differences in understanding and moral agency in decisions between you and a three year old are infinitely smaller than the difference in understanding and moral agency in decisions between you and God. And just like if that three year old were to keep making that same decision for the rest of their life, disregarding their parents teachings, you too will suffer from a lack of understanding. Just like that three year old you are a slave to your own juvenile desires. And just like that three year old who relies on their parents to guide them, which requires submission to their authority, you too rely on your Fathers guidance. Like a child you know nothing other than what’s right in front of you. Yet you still have free will to make your decision.

That analogy weakens your argument, not strengthens it. A 3-year-old choosing candy over broccoli isn’t real moral agency it’s predictable behavior based on limited understanding. Now scale that up: An all-knowing God creates humans knowing exactly what they will choose, in a system with real consequences (suffering, hell, etc.). That’s not the same as a harmless food choice—that’s designing outcomes in advance. If you knowingly set up a situation where a being will fail, the responsibility doesn’t disappear just because they ‘chose.

Given all the news about Mythos,  I ran a small experiment testing Opus 4.6 to understand a bit better how it finds bugs. The setup was: Sendmail crackaddr() bug (CVE-2002-1337) — the original source, a rewritten equivalent, a compiled binary with symbols, and an obfuscated stripped binary. The model found the bug quickly in the first three cases (under 3-4 minutes). The obfuscated version took ~45 minutes of actual "reasoning". A few things stood out: - The model behaves like a human bug hunter would: switching between "pattern matching" and dynamic analysis, using runtime feedback as an oracle - Having an oracle is crucially important. So much so that the agent constructed its own when instructed not to run the binary - The gap between "pattern matching" and "reasoning" capabilities seems significant. The latter appears fairly primitive for Opus. Is Mythos better purely because of the much larger context window or is it something else? - Opus behaves deceptively fairly often. It's surprising how much a hidden scratchpad helps (this is similar to the Sleeper Agents approach) Full writeup: vincenzoiozzo.com/blog/alphago-m…

Holy shit… the exploitation of CVE-2025-55182 has reached a new level. There’s now a publicly available Chrome extension on GitHub that automatically scans for and exploits vulnerable sites as you browse. Absolutely wild. 🤦‍♂️
