Also, Iran did not start this war, it was an illegal war of aggression started by US/Israel. They started bombing Iran without any legal justification. Iran was not the aggressor.

The literally bombed a girl school the first day of the war and another school the same day. They have bombed health facilities, universities, residential buildings, steel manufacturing, petrochemical factories, railways, bridges, oil storage. This is not foreign policy, it’s a deranged mad man threatening to wipe out an entire country. It's past time. The 25th Amendment must be invoked.

This is not normal. This is not just "Trump being Trump". This is an insane man who is unfit for office, and needs to be removed immediately.

In a political career defined by grotesque statements, this president’s horrifying, illegal, and genocidal threat this morning is among the most dangerous and appalling. You can’t shout “fire” in a crowded theater and a president cannot be allowed to threaten genocide with the United States military. Threats of war crimes and disregard for human life must be met with accountability under the law. Trump must go—and Republicans, whether in the Cabinet or Congress, must join Democrats in using any and all constitutional powers at our collective disposal to end this illegal war and take the gun out of this madman’s hands.

The President of the United States is taking his threats against the Iranian people to new extremes. Targeting civilians en masse would be a clear violation of the law of armed conflict as laid out in the Geneva Conventions, as well as the Pentagon's Law of War Manual. This kind of focus on civilians is exactly what we accuse our adversaries of doing and what our military trains to avoid. It’s built into the rigorous drilling and routines that our military are trained on from their first weeks. If they are today or have been asked to do things that violate the law and their training, it puts them in very real legal jeopardy. I know that our service members up and down the chain of command know their duty and the law to refuse illegal orders. Even as the Commander-in-Chief tells the world otherwise. It’s moments like these that are why we made the video to service members last year. And I hope and believe our troops — especially those in command — will have the moral clarity to push back if they are given clearly illegal orders.

Our maniacal President is threatening the annihilation of the entire Iranian people. We have to reconvene Congress immediately to properly address the madman in the White House and Congress must reassert its authority through a War Powers Resolution. Trump is dangerously unstable, and millions of innocent lives are at risk because of it. Congress must act immediately.
