Just got this book from AMZN. Self-published, 450pp, don’t know the author. It has a bit of everything: techniques, asset classes, horizons. I haven’t read carefully but it seems to have at least something for everyone and to be very rich in concepts. Should be fun to read.

@penecks @iwelsh I'm not mad at the gaming choice we have now. I get frustrated on what's promoted as the next big thing. And it's all the same generic shite. And yet the war on general computing continues. Until we run everything in the cloud.

Thinking back to the old internet, usenet and even bulletin boards. Genuinely interesting and exciting and not something normies did. If you have a niche interest, pray it never becomes popular and gets "monetized."

My 16 yr old daughter got into a car accident yesterday. She is ok, broken wrist that had to be reset. A 76 yr old lady hit her and another young driver as she lost control of her car. It was scary. The old broad is at fault, she was issued citation by the po po. Car is totaled and she is very sore and shook up. Parents of teenagers use the Life360 app. It alerted us she was in a crash, it called 1rst responders and then it called us. It was among night and a very scary situation. We are all so grateful she is ok, and grateful we use the @Life360 app.

After 2 years of trading, I'm genuinely questioning whether I can keep doing this. This month has been one of the hardest I've had mentally. Losses, missed moves, getting stopped out by a few ticks, watching trades hit TP without me... it feels relentless. I'm constantly giving back profits and fighting just to stay afloat. I'll keep showing up tomorrow, but right now trading feels like it's winning the battle.

Bluesky and Xbox shills are moaning over the loss of these four studios. Two of them actually worked with consultants like Anita Sarkeesean and Sweet Baby Inc. None of them produced even Indie numbers of gamers. What you have is people who wanted games to be art, to employ their art friends, and to be completely subsidized by governments, corporations etc to carry forward their personal values and messages. Gamers said nope, we want games, not art, not messages, and this is what happens.

Y’all, not to be a huge nerd but for the reflecting pool you would need a minimum of about 8,000 liters of 12% hydrogen peroxide to reach the 50 parts per million concentration to kill algae… Is this what happens when you have 0 scientists in your administration?
