I watched this live and instantly admired @valkenburgh. It’s said that you should never meet your heroes. He’s an exception. I admire him more today than ever.
Here’s what we’ve learned since this epic description. What he describes will only work without trust when the sender, recipient and value transmitted cannot be monitored by any government, malfeasant, criminal, business competitor, neighbor or friend.
If we are to have free payments on the internet, between free people, they must be private. There is no in-between.
