@Not__me06 I gave the option to declare it no result. A system that had that is fair and arguably reflective of the performances. Please reflect on the options I presented as they do cover this fairly.

@philipdverma No there is no fair option because we don't know what would have happened without the DNF, he could make a mistake. Anything can happen in a single lap. We don't know what would have happened without Charles' spin in Miami, without Isack's DNF in Australia. Stop with if if if 😭

@piapilled I'm in favour of it going to 11th place. You need to be in the top half of performance to get a reward.

the points system in f1 is crap btw. points shouldn’t be limited to just the top 10 drivers as it discourages racing in the mid/back of the field. imo points should go to the top 21 with only 22nd getting 0. so 21st would be one point, 20th 2, etc.

@DPJHodges Generally, I agree Twitter posts are public. However, comments/replies to individuals you know can be construed as private. Just the need for a little nuance.

Don't understand what the Kenyon debate is. Jokes with friends in private is one thing. But Twitter is not a private space. It's a public space. It's why we all come here. If you want to stand for public office accept that and take responsibility. Or go and do something else.

@DianteLeeFB Definition of looking for something that's not there. He's going towards the ball carrier. You all just want more to be there than their truly is. If you want a no call okay. But he wasn't trying to draw a foul here. If he doesn't get the call it's now 5 on 4.

@CJRealHoops2 A simple fix is for a few games just give the thunder no calls when they go down, except when something almost reaches flagrant level. They would learn quickly to stop, even if they would complain about it being unfair.

My 2 cents on foul-baiting/flopping: It’s always been perfectly within the rules to do it. But it’s always just been up to players to have the self-respect and integrity to not over-do it. Like, honestly, a well-timed occasional strategic flop, I can accept. But when it becomes a hallmark of your whole game, when you’re seeking it out every time or every other time you touch the ball… That’s when sportsmanship is killed by gamesmanship. That’s when winning becomes completely divorced from ethics. That’s when the game becomes unwatchable. That’s when the rules have to change. When players can no longer be trusted to reasonably govern themselves, that’s when official governance has to be increased. Same thing happens in all aspects of society, when you think about it. And that’s just unfortunate. Something here has to change.

@AndrewDBailey I really do hate watching the Thunder sometimes. They can be a very good team, but their tactics are unappealing and deserve to be punished.

@Yfz84 He is fine to fall however he wishes, but he and his team need to tell the officials not to call fouls in such circumstances...which they don't.

@AliceBarbicanE2 @AdamAzor @GoodFerret @MarkJLittlewood Believe you me this is an execution in football terms. I’m not being dramatic in saying the whole fallout from this could threaten the club’s survival. Law suits from aggrieved parties could lead to financial ruin. That’s some penalty for a lad with an iPhone. Man City to div 2?

The #saintsfc punishment doesn’t fit the crime. Hopefully the appeal will be focused on this @MarkJLittlewood said it perfectly. “Its like being sentenced to death if you shoplifted”. It should have been a fine, ban for those involved & suspended points deduction at most. Madness

@JackMac_82 @Yorkshirefoxy1 I think perfectly reasonable for Greens to put up a paper candidate, as they are rightly entitled to appear on the ballot. To throw resources at a race to have the effect of aiding Reform is, to me, so self-defeating.

@IntrusiveIntent @HippotamusMMA @pr6ve @danwellsracing This is underrated in the popular debate. The job that Schumacher along with Todt, Byrne and Brawn (nothing against the amazing John Barnard who left around '97) is a great feat of team-building, and if someone values just F1 records it's hard to top that!

Max Verstappen is clearly the greatest racing driver in history. Lewis is an amazing driving sure. Fernando, I love. But to race like he does, all the time - on the sim, in GT, in F1. Absolute legend.

To his great credit @holland_tom isn’t even pretending to style this out in a cynical showbiz way. His hero is right in front of him and his face tells us all how much joy he’s feeling right now ❤️😢🥳

@effonecasualfan I'm fine with no multiple ownership as long as Red Bull is allowed to continue with both teams until such time as they sell.

Zak's 100% right in pointing this out, and this whole multiple ownership should end! But you have to question how long the "McLaren-Mercedes" partnership will continue as well. It won't come as a surprise if McLaren ends up becoming Merc's primary rival in F1 championship battles. Looking at how the teams are structured, I won't be surprised if McLaren surpasses Merc's aero performance in 2026. at that point, Toto has to ask if the partnership is viable and if Mercedes wants to continue to get a bloody nose by its own customer in the championship. Sure, the contract is until 2030, but F1 contracts often end up not being worth much anyway.

Zack Polanski and his partner called their narrowboat their “amazing home” for three years. He registered to vote there. If it was his main residence, council tax was due. None was paid. His team says he stayed there only “occasionally” - if true, there's a very big problem.

There is a route for Andy Burnham to become PM without winning a Commons by-election first: he could be made a Lord. Constitutionally the PM just needs to be a member of one of the two houses of Parliament. This was Alec Douglas-Home’s route, who became PM in October 1963 as a Lord before winning a by-election to be an MP 20 days later. It’s an absolutely awful undemocratic look that could sink Burnham’s brand forever, plus of course Starmer may well not want to oblige his nemesis with a peerage. But these are strange and desperate times for Labour.
