Ok trans activists, riddle me this: if gender critical feminist views directly, explicitly contribute to the murders of trans people, why are trans murders practically non-existent in the UK, which appears to be the capital of TERFism? 🤔

There’s a whole movie in this: ‘One of the boys who took it hid it in his loft in Ireland before confessing to his son before his death. His son then decided to return Mother Clanger to her family in Canterbury in Kent’
BBC Kent@BBCRadioKent

The puppet of Mother Clanger has returned to Canterbury to be put on display after being stolen from an exhibition in London more than 50 years ago. More here: bbc.in/4djWTPQ

🚨📣 New FSU Member Testimonial: Ace North Dr Ace North spent nearly 15 years as a research scientist in Oxford’s biology department. He became concerned when Equality, Diversity and Inclusion displays appeared in his workplace promoting gender identity ideology — including claims that sex is on a spectrum, not a binary. As a biologist, Ace believed these claims were scientifically misleading and inappropriate in an academic setting — especially as they were presented in a way that discouraged challenge. Inspired by an interview with Richard Dawkins, Ace responded by adding a quote offering a critical perspective. Over time, he added further quotes from well-known gender-critical figures. The department later described the stickers as “defacement” and “hateful”, warning staff of disciplinary action if the individual responsible was identified. Ace was eventually identified and met with HR. No formal sanction was issued, though he was instructed to stop. We supported Ace by writing to the Head of Department, seeking assurances on free speech neutrality and recognition that gender-critical beliefs are protected under the Equality Act 2010. Over 40% of the cases we handle involve individuals penalised for holding gender-critical views. Watch Ace’s testimonial below 👇

COUNSELING FREEDOM WINS AT SCOTUS! The Supreme Court has just ruled 8-1 for @ADFLegal client Kaley Chiles, who challenged Colorado’s counseling ban. States may not censor commonsense counseling that seeks to help kids with gender dysphoria accept their bodies.

It turns out that Caster Semenya is also something of a misogynist, whose descriptions of his female competitors’ objections to his unfair advantage drip with contempt: “Once these girls stopped wagging their tongues to the cameras, they would come up and smile and shake my hand or say ‘good job’ in the locker room. I did not care. In the end, I ran, I won, and I went back home.” “My thoughts were these foolish women needed to mind their business and train harder.” And about the Rio Olympics final: “Some of the other female athletes were busy getting in front of cameras and lamenting they would be running for ‘bronze’ or anonymously giving quotes about how ‘unfair’ the situation in the final was going to be. I had long ago learned to use people’s nonsense to fuel my performance. ‘Keep talking, motherfuckers,’ I thought, ‘keep watching me.’ I did my thing during the warm-ups. I made sure each athlete and their managers and coaches saw me.” He also recounted the post-final “dramatic sobbing about losing the bronze medal you could probably hear outside the stadium” of one of the women he robbed. In other words, he’s your typical entitled man.

Trans people of course deserve same protections against discrimination as other groups, but we must be clear that doesn't extend to the right to self-identify into services & spaces reserved for those of the opposite sex. Boundaries are kind and appropriate for everyone here.
Emily Thornberry@EmilyThornberry

This Trans Day of Visibility, let's remember those too often overlooked in endless debates over trans rights: trans people. Trans men and women deserve our love and support, not exclusion and hate.

I remain very happy for this to go further. Let’s get it to the highest court we can. Let’s lance this ideological boil as soon as we can, in a legal fight where I am not liable for any costs! You wanted this as public as possible to cause harm to my reputation and I assume my mental health. You will get what you wanted re publicity at least.

As always, @KDansky lays it all out clearly. If the guy at the Olympus spa in Washington had never claimed a "female identity," he would have been charged and convicted of a sex crime. As it stands, he gets to swing his d!ck around without consequence.

This is Tremaine Carroll. He does not try to present as female, or take cross-sex hormones, but claims to be a woman. He was placed in a women’s prison for this reason alone, even though his first two strikes were for kidnapping young girls and forcing them to perform oral sex on him. His third was for armed robbery. He’s also 6’2, and weighs 250 lbs. This is a man CA officials agreed was so “vulnerable” that he had to be placed in a women’s prison for the sake of his safety — and CA law gave him the right to a female cellmate. He impregnated the first woman who was locked in a cell with him — whether she consented to sex or not, I do not know. CA has a nasty habit of punishing female inmates for reporting assaults by trans-identifying male inmates. The second woman they locked in his cell, he raped, and when she reported it, he counter-accused — this 6’2, 250 lb man. She - all of 5’1 - was placed in isolation. Carroll was given yet another female cellmate, and it wasn’t very long before he’d raped that woman, too. Only then did the state return him to the men’s facility he never should have been allowed to leave in the first place. The final slap in the face to the victims? The judge overseeing Carroll’s trial has ordered his victims to refer to their rapist as “she.”

Dear Observer, It is now more than 48 hours since I raised child safeguarding concerns about your recent article on Girlguiding. Which centres on six-year-old little boy who reportedly attempted to cut off his penis - after being told he could no longer attend Rainbows (Girlguiding’s section for 4–7 year olds). Or “her penis”, as the reporter wrote in the very first sentence. Publicly, I raised concerns over the framing of this story, which presented this disturbing event as a result of Girlguiding’s girls-only admissions policy - rather than the account of a very young child in distress. And over inaccurate reporting; as well as the phrase “her penis”, the article uses female pronouns throughout. For a six-year-old little boy. Privately, I raised specific concerns relating to child safeguarding. Yet 48 hours on, the article remains unchanged, including the “her penis” in the very first sentence. And the use of female pronouns throughout - to refer to a very young child in clear distress. This is not about the politics of the issue - but about the reporting of a vulnerable child. In such cases, the threshold for care should be extremely high. I appreciate the need for internal discussion. But these are not concerns that can simply be “fed into discussions”. When it comes to matters of child safeguarding, 48 hours is too long for this to remain unaddressed. I would urge you to review the article as a matter of urgency.

@valentinapilled @Zoya_ki_batein Why couldn't he find an actual female partner who'd have his baby and thought he'd be a good dad? Why does he think it's ok to buy a woman's body as an incubator? Why does he think it's ok to remove a newborn baby from her birth mother? He's not a good man.

You are my union branch. In 2020, when I received death threats at work, because of my gender critical views, you refused my request that you issue a public statement condemning these threats. Later, in 2024, you lined up with Senior Management at the Employment Tribunal brought by @JoPhoenix1 who was constructively dismissed by the OU. You did precisely nothing to protest these violations of our academic freedom. You did nothing to protect us. Indeed, leading activists at @oubucu were heavily involved in organising these and other violations of our academic freedom. You were deeply complicit in those violations. You should be aware that many academics at the OU including many in the branch and, indeed, across the @UCU will greet union statements about academic freedom with a hollow laugh. Still, I suppose I slightly admire your chutzpah.

Awful to see @OpenUniversity in the press over such a basic issue of academic freedom

To the "anti-war" liberals sipping lattes while lecturing us on peace: I spent the first 8 years of my life in bomb shelters during the longest war of the 20th century. Don’t you dare tell me what war looks like. I know the sound of sirens. But I also know what it's like to watch a 16-year-old boy fall to his death because he was running from police who raided a party for the "crime" of dancing. I know the scream of a mother identifying her daughter’s body-murdered for a few loose strands of hair. You want "peace" because it keeps your conscience clean. You’d rather Iranians rot in a silent, "stable" graveyard under the Islamic Regime's gender apartheid than witness the chaos of their liberation. Iranians in Iran aren't naive. They know the West acts for its own interests. But they have reached the point where the gamble of a war is more hopeful than the certainty of this regime. If they are willing to risk everything to breathe, who the hell are you to tell them to stay in their cage? Stop using their "safety" as an excuse for your cowardice. Iranians want a life, not just a pulse.
