🚨 URGENT: Afghan P1/P2 applicants—U.S. allies—are being arrested right now in Islamabad by Pakistani police. If deported, they face torture and death under the Taliban. America promised safety. America must not forget its allies. #Save_Afghan_Allies_P1P2 #USRAP #P1P2

It’s important to define success. And it’s also important that @StateDept communicate with the people at CAS what their future holds. To date, they’ve been given a March 31 deadline of departure but no indication where they might go.

We’re fighting every day for the relocation and resettlement of Afghan families living in danger at @statedept's Camp As Sayliyah (CAS) in Doha, Qatar. I want to share how we’re thinking about what a successful outcome looks like, from our perspective. Another #AfghanEvac 🧵

@DHSgov We are not “unvetted.” Afghan P2/P1 allies in Pakistan completed full vetting and were waiting for flights. Now we face arrest and deportation. Keep the promise.

The Biden Administration let in more than 190,000 unvetted Afghan nationals into our country during Operation Allies Welcome, many of them military-aged men.   Under President Trump, we have instituted a comprehensive vetting process for aliens. DHS is requiring the country of origin to cross-reference biometric data and criminal history, expanding our vetting to include social media screening, and directing individuals to check-in every year.

.@POTUS: “I settled eight wars. Of the eight wars, at least six were settled because of tariffs. In other words, I said, ‘If you don't settle this war, I'm going to charge you tariffs because I don't want to see people getting killed.’"

A win for the rule of law and vindication for the US Constitution. Under the previous administration, Temporary Protected Status was abused to allow violent terrorists, criminals, and national security threats into our nation. TPS was never designed to be permanent, yet previous administrations have used it as a de facto amnesty program for decades. Given the improved situation in each of these countries, we are wisely concluding what was intended to be a temporary designation.

On Friday, a court ordered the Trump admin to abide by a plan to adjudicate SIV applications in a timely manner. While the expanded travel ban continues to prevent all Afghan nationals from entering the U.S., COM processing must resume immediately. refugeerights.org/news-resources…

Today one year ago we filed Pacito v. Trump, our lawsuit challenging the suspension of refugee resettlement to the US. Josephine is one of the plaintiffs who was able to successfully resettle and join her family thanks to our lawsuit, but the fight to keep resettlement open to many more families seeking safety continues.

Refugees are among the most vetted immigrants in the world. Yet in Minnesota, legally present families are afraid to leave their homes due to aggressive enforcement tactics. Due process & dignity are law, not optional. They must be protected. startribune.com/minnesota-refu…

@IRAP Vetted Afghan allies were assured safety, yet they remain stranded and vulnerable after USRAP P1/P2 suspension. The U.S. must honor its commitment—leaders must act now to ensure their safe relocation. #Save_Afghan_Allies_P1P2

The failure to authorize more Special Immigrant Visas is a catastrophic betrayal of the allies who supported the U.S mission in Afghanistan and are still at risk from the Taliban. Congress must not leave them behind. nytimes.com/2026/02/05/us/…

Minnesota, we stand with you. Two innocent lives—Renée Good and Alex Pretti—are gone after federal immigration operations in Minneapolis. This isn’t “tough policy.” It’s recklessness without accountability. Their families deserve the truth—and justice.

These are not abstract policy failures. These are families, women, and children left in limbo because the U.S. cannot finish what it started. American credibility depends on honoring our commitments. Full stop. @BWBailey85's latest in @reason. reason.com/2026/01/22/the…

@TeamCornyn The U.S. made a promise to its Afghan allies, but now, many are left to suffer in Pakistan. Even with legal status, they face intimidation and threats. Ignoring them is a grave injustice—USRAP P1/P2 processing must resume immediately. #Save_Afghan_Allies_P1P2

Wesley Hunt said there should be no limit on Afghan refugee admissions. No limits means no accountability. No limits means no guardrails.

@BWBailey85 Our Afghan allies in Pakistan, who fought alongside the U.S. in its longest war, are now suffering. Despite having legal status, they face constant threats and harassment. The U.S. must not turn its back on them—restart USRAP P1/P2 processing now! #Save_Afghan_Allies_P1P2

As the date nears for clearing out Camp As Sayliyah, no word on the third country location where the U.S. government plans to send 1,100 Afghans on the base who were in processing for U.S. refugee and visa programming My latest at Reason: reason.com/2026/01/22/the…
