@OntheRoadAJ @DelhiAirport Digiyatra and fast lane on the left no issues with security. Lounge super crowded with line out the door. Otherwise a nice blast from the past. They have removed the immigration checkpoints but otherwise it's like the old Terminal with a few modifications.

Just realized my upcoming AI 1xxx ✈️ is from @DelhiAirport Terminal 2!😯 Not at all familiar with T2. Digiyatra & Encalm lounge are there. But how time-consuming/congested is departures security on weekday mornings? Any dedicated Biz security lane? How early to arrive?🤔

@chainsawrocks Airbus crews are nowadays required to switch the GPS clock synch off before entering GPS jammed/spoofed areas. This avoids the systems going completely off synch. Boeing aircraft don't have this feature and require a reboot once on the ground to align GPS again.

Fun Fact : The internal clock on Airbus airplanes drifts by about 1 second per 200 hours on its internal mode. That’s an impressive ~ 0.12 seconds per day. In comparison, a standard quartz watch drifts at about 15 seconds per month - about 0.5 seconds per day.

Coincidentally, got downgraded from First to Business last night, on AI130 LHR - BOM due to an INOP seat. And while I am not a MP, AI handled it as well as they could. Duty manager at LHR (Mr Cyrus) personally approached, explained me the issue, offered two potential solutions: a. I could continue to fly First but the seat wouldn’t recline and they would offer a refund. b. Downgrade to Business on a working and reclining seat + a refund. I chose the latter. Was even advised that I should check in as F, so I could access the F lounges, and then I would be given the J Boarding Pass at the gate along with the compensation form. Downgrades suck! Absolutely no denying. But they are part and parcel of flying and happens to the best of the airlines. In most cases you are by regulation entitled to a refund. In my case under the UK261, I am entitled to a 75% refund. DGCA has similar rules too.
