@ashleyschendel I'm a single mom of twin 16 year old boys. I work 2 (and for 8 weeks every year 3) jobs. I don't receive SNAP, and I don't buy pre-made foods because I can't afford it. It's not that difficult to use a crock pot, air fryer or stick things in the oven.

There is a difference between cutting down on junk food and pretending poor families shop in some perfect meal planning vacuum. People need food that is affordable, filling, and realistic on a hard weeknight. If SNAP is going to get stricter about soda and candy, it should also get smarter about allowing practical prepared food that can actually feed a family.

This is false -- I didn't complain about photos. But Boebert was the one who harassed a woman in the women's restroom thinking she was me -- only the member was not me. Maybe it was Boebert who ripped all the photos down because she couldn't tell if one of them might be trans?

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) explains to Alex Stein that Rep. Tim McBride (D-DE), a man pretending to be a woman, got mad that women had their photos in the women’s bathroom in the Capitol and he didn’t, so all the photos got removed. This is just shameful.

Since the paid MAGA influencer losers are executing their marching orders on this Spirit story, let’s inject some reality. The Biden administration didn’t stop any Spirit mergers. The issue went to trial and a judge ruled that a Jet Blue/Spirit merger violated US antitrust laws, and would likely increase prices on consumers. The courts ruled, correctly, that the merger violated the law and would hurt Americans. So, fellow Americans: what MAGA is really saying is they don’t give a shit about the law, and they don’t give a shit if you had to pay more to fly. politico.com/news/2024/01/1…

Nothing infuriates an uninformed Congressional Dem more than when they realize they voluntarily triggered a debate with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, reads federal statute and adheres to Supreme Court precedent. Today’s self-implosion by @rosadelauro was quite remarkable to witness. Without apology or regret, I will always adhere to the best available reading of federal statute pursuant to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright.

The SPLC secretly funneled $3M+ in donor funds to violent racist extremist groups: -Ku Klux Klan -American Nazi Party -Aryan Nation -United Klans of America -Unite the Right -National Alliance -National Socialist Movement -Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club -American Front To hide the payments, SPLC allegedly opened bank accounts under fictitious entities to conceal the source and control of donor funds. Per the indictment: an SPLC field source was a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville — made racist postings under SPLC supervision and helped coordinate transportation to the event. FBI Director Kash Patel: "They lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups — even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes." @carsonkrow @bowtiedmeathead I've had birthday parties for my boys at Trampoline Parks. Usually, about 10-12 from their class show up. They get pizza, cake, soda, a decorated room, 2 hours of jumping, and I have no mess. Cost less than $400.

My 12 yr old son went to a bday party the other day for one of his friends in the neighborhood. The party was at Top Golf. About 25 kids give or take. They rented out 4 bays. Tons of food. Everyone had a great time. The previous week he went to a kids party at Dave and Busters. Same deal about 20 kids or so. Maybe I’m a bit old school (and cheap lol) but we never threw a big group friend’s party like that for the kids. We always told them they can invite 3-4 of their friends and we’ll take them out somewhere or we would have the entire family come over for cake and ice cream. Now you got parents out doing one another on these elaborate and expensive bday parties. Maybe it’s just my generation (I’m 46) with everyone trying to be an overachiever, but if you ask me it’s a bit excessive and over the top.
