Wir brauchen einen Verfassungsartikel, der den Bürgern das Recht auf Waffentragen garantiert und einen Verfassungsartikel, der den Bürgern das Recht auf einen bewaffneten Aufstand gibt, wenn ihnen jemand dieses Recht wegnehmen will und eine Regelung, dass diese Artikel nur vom Volk mit 100% Mehrheit geändert werden können also gar nicht.

Brits surrendered their firearms in 1997. Less than 30 years later, they're being arrested for Facebook posts. That's not "safety." That's the speed of tyranny once a government knows its citizens can't push back. When people are disarmed, the state no longer fears the people. And when governments have zero fear of the people, they do whatever the hell they want. History proves it over and over: an unarmed population is a compliant one. The right to bear arms isn't just about hunting or sport, it's the final check against a government that forgets it's supposed to serve, not rule. The Second Amendment isn't about muskets. It's about maintaining the balance of power between citizens and the state. Never give up the means to defend your liberty. Because once it's gone, the slide into authoritarianism happens faster than most people expect. May this never happen here.

Wettbewerb kann einer Partei wie der FDP, die wie kaum eine andere für Offenheit und Leistungsprinzip steht, nie schaden. Doch jetzt ist nicht die Zeit für persönliche Eitelkeiten oder späte Selbstvergewisserung, nur weil dafür Raum entsteht.
Die FDP muss von einer neuen Generation in die Zukunft geführt werden, nicht nur von alten Schlachtrössern. Natürlich müssen Persönlichkeiten wie Wolfgang Kubicki und ich unsere Bekanntheit und mediale Aufmerksamkeit in den Dienst der Neuaufstellung der Partei stellen. Aber gemeinsam mit der neuen Generation und nicht, indem wir ihr an der Spitze allein im Weg stehen.
Deshalb habe ich die Debatte über eine Doppelspitze angestoßen. Und deshalb unterstütze ich Henning Höne mit voller Überzeugung: als jungen, zugleich erfahrenen und durchsetzungsstarken Kandidaten. Er steht für ein klares marktwirtschaftliches wie gesellschaftspolitisches Profil und hat das Potenzial, das zu leisten, was in den vergangenen Monaten versäumt wurde und was auch das übrige Kandidatenfeld nicht überzeugend verkörpert: die Zusammenführung und Verteidigung des organisierten Liberalismus in seiner ganzen Breite.
Nur so hat die FDP eine realistische Chance auf eine erfolgreiche Zukunft. Ich werde diesen Prozess aktiv im Präsidium begleiten und unterstützen.
