@Kgill39 @_TheIronCowboy He was head coach of the Oilers on interim basin

@_TheIronCowboy Todd Nelson has no NHL experience as a head coach. We've had that with Woodcroft and Knoblauch. Why on earth would you want him?
English

He’s still my top option for the Oilers… People will hate hearing that, but I think he’s the perfect fit for them.

#ToddNelson who built a massive reputation running the #HersheyBears #AHL (all this guy does is win where he goes) earned serious praise from #KyleDubas of the #Pens #NHL. Nelson was a key factor in transforming the team into a high-tempo, competitive group and accelerating the development of Pittsburgh's mid-20s depth players. Look for teams to come calling sooner than later . Nelson will be a HC again soon in the #NHL .

If the #LetsGoOilers can't get Bruce Cassidy, who would be the ideal target as their next head coach? Can you pry someone out of retirement like Darryl Sutter or Bruce Boudreau? Do you go with a vet like Peter Laviolette? Or do you go new-school and try to get David Carle?🤔

Toronto's power play implodes, its 5v5 goal share and expected goal share collapse, it allows more shots than anyone else in the league, it can't defend a lead, and of its two stars one guy is gone and the other guy looks like a shadow of himself.
Let's talk to that coach!

Hearing a formal interview with Berube is expected after some initial conversation between he and Bowman. Permission to speak with Bruce Cassidy had still not been granted as of Sunday night.

Since you’re not willing to do your homework, let me help you. 🧵
Evan Bouchard isn't just a "power play specialist." He put up 95 points, but only 33 (7G, 26A) came on the man advantage. More importantly? All 21 of his goals were scored against a goaltender—zero empty netters.
Let’s talk defense. Bouchard’s Expected Goals Against (xGA) is in the elite tier (top 15% of NHL D-men). He isn't giving up high-quality looks; the puck is going in because he’s dealing with a .888 on-ice SV% while guys like Hughes and Makar benefit from .910+ goaltending.
The best defense is never having to play in your own zone. Bouchard ranks in the 87th percentile for Defensive Zone time—meaning the Oilers spend significantly less time defending when he’s on the ice compared to the league average.
He’s elite in high-danger prevention and top 25% in shot blocking. Facts matter. You can't push a narrative using a snippet while ignoring the context of the whole story. #Oilers #NHL #BouchBomb

@JasonGregor @DeclanKrueger Adieu followed by story. Get all vowels out the way
English

For those who play #Wordle? Do you use the same first word? Is so what is it?
Found out @DeclanKrueger uses Favor, which has to rank as one of the worst choices for First Word.

The fixes aren't difficult. But Oiler players will need to make some changes.
