As we continue to celebrate Women’s Month, I am reminded of the fearless women who fought tirelessly and helped shape the course of our history and the African agenda. Their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire generations. I recently had a humbling and inspiring meeting with Mama Palesa Musa, a brave participant in the Anti-Apartheid movement. As she shared her experiences during the painful days of her incarceration at the Women’s prison in Johannesburg, her story became a powerful reminder of the sacrifices many women made in the pursuit of justice and freedom. Walking through the prison facility that once confined her, now preserved as a historic reminder, one cannot help but reflect on the strength, determination, and power of women’s voices that refused to be silenced. Women have always been at the forefront of resistance, change, and progress. Their stories remind us that true freedom and transformation are impossible without their full participation and leadership. As Thomas Sankara once said: "There is no true social revolution without the liberation of women." This month, we honor the women all over the world who fought before us, celebrate the women leading today, and salute the young girls and women shaping tomorrow.

Suspected State agents in the company of confirmed members of @PoliceZimbabwe disrupted our membership meeting at Tsholotsho Business Center. The rogue characters tortured our leaders Cde Vusa and Cde Hudson. Our leaders were pressed to reveal the whereabouts of President @OMasaraure The President is reportedly being hunted down by State agents in Tsholotsho. The Union condemns this barbarism from the State and is assisting the members to press charges against the known agents. CDE Masaraure was reassigned to another program last minute and only escaped brutality because of the last minute changes. @daddyhope @MakomboreroH @CdeTatenda

The ruling comprador bourgeoisie is terrified of the superior logic of the masses. Having failed to provide a dialectical defense for their regressive amendments, the exploiters are now resorting to the desperate silencing of the revolutionary vanguard. As is the historical pattern of the oppressor, they target the proletariat within the urban ghettos. The ruling elites have inherited and perfected the colonial-supremacist logic which posits that the impoverished have no agency in the political superstructure. In their warped, reactionary view, the working class are merely inanimate objects meant to validate the whims of the hegemonic class. We call upon the working class to unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains. The state must be reminded that its primary apparatus is funded by the surplus value extracted from the workers. It is a gross violation of the social contract and a criminal act of state-sponsored terror, to utilize the people's tax contributions to fund the abduction and torture of the very citizens the state is constitutionally mandated to protect under Section 52 (Right to Personal Security) and Section 53 (Freedom from Torture or Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment). Furthermore, the proposed amendments represent a blatant attempt to bypass the democratic will. Since these amendments seek to extend the term of office for the incumbent, they must be subjected to a Referendum. This is a mandatory requirement under Section 328(7) of the Constitution, which explicitly states that an amendment to a term-limit provision cannot benefit the person who held that office before the amendment. Any attempt to circumvent this through legislative sleight of hand is a violation of Section 328(9). The ZANU PF hierarchy must abandon its militarized guerrilla tactics against its own people. The national liberation struggle against the colonialist was a victory for all, not a mandate for a new internal autocracy. We are equal shareholders in this Republic, entitled to the protections of Section 56 (Equality and Non-discrimination). Let there be a peaceful contestation of ideas. The ruling elites, who have monopolized the nation’s resources and the state’s apparatus, should deploy those resources to win the "war of positions" through persuasion, not through the barrel of a gun.
Constitution Defenders Forum@cdfzim

🚨 URGENT ALERT: CDF MEMBER ABDUCTED, TORTURED AND SEIZED FROM HOSPITAL 🚨 The Constitution Defenders Forum (CDF) wishes to alert the nation and the international community to a shocking escalation of repression against our members. Yesterday evening, Baird Gore of Glen Norah, one of the three CDF members who conducted a peaceful walkabout in CDF regalia over the weekend, was abducted from his home by several armed men driving a black Ford Raptor. When the armed men first arrived at his residence, Baird was not at home as he had gone to the shops. They violently assaulted his brother while demanding to know his whereabouts. Baird arrived during this assault and was immediately seized, blindfolded and taken to an unknown location. He was severely beaten and interrogated about CDF Convener Hon. Tendai Biti and the organization’s strategy to resist the unconstitutional 2030 Agenda. His captors demanded to know: 1. Who was behind the recent CDF press conference 2. Which democratic forces are working with CDF 3. What the CDF leadership structure will look like after launch 4. When CDF is launching 5. Why members were mobilizing at Machipisa Shopping Centre in CDF regalia 6. Who was funding CDF During the torture, Baird alleges that his legs were deliberately run over once with their vehicle. He also sustained a suspected broken hand and other serious injuries including his back they were beating using sticks. After hours of abuse, he was dumped at the City Sports Centre around 7pm. With the assistance of a well-wisher, he contacted his family and proceeded to Glen Norah Police Station where a report was filed. He was issued with a medical request form and taken to a local Hospital for urgent treatment. Tragically, before doctors could complete their medical assessment or inform him of the results of his X-rays, a team of armed uniformed and plain-clothed officers identifying themselves as members from Machipisa Police Station stormed the hospital around 2am. They refused to wait for medical procedures to be finalized and forcibly removed him from the hospital. An alert CDF team followed the three police vehicles until they arrived at Machipisa Police Station. This coordinated pattern of abduction, torture and re-arrest demonstrates that CDF is now under siege. The regime, rattled by a mere press conference conducted by our Convener Hon. Tendai Biti and unsettled by his attendance at the burial of National Hero Cde Blessed Runesu Geza, has resorted to intimidation and brutality to silence constitutional voices. Let it be known, CDF’s mission is peaceful. CDF’s mission is constitutional. CDF’s mission is democratic. We will not be intimidated. We will not be silenced. We will not abandon the Constitution of Zimbabwe. To the world, take note. To the people of Zimbabwe, remain vigilant. CDF is not deterred. The struggle to defend the Constitution continues. @euinzim @P_VanDamme_EU @Julius_S_Malema @HEBobiwine @MmusiMaimane @EFFSouthAfrica @BitiTendai @daddyhope @Sophie_Mokoena @MbuyiseniNdlozi @Chofamba @MacBelts @ParliamentofRSA @ProfMadhuku #NoTo2030 #DefendTheConstitution

It was an honor to share a moment with Kenya's 4th President, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, at the 39th African Union Heads of State Summit in Addis Ababa. In our exchange, I was struck by the enduring shared Pan-African spirit and commitment to advancing the continent's aspirations in line with the AU's vision of an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa that wields real influence in shaping global affairs. During the summit, I had the privilege of contributing to a High-Level Diplomatic Briefing on Africa’s push to reform the UN Security Council. Drawing from the AU's Common African Position (Ezulwini Consensus), my remarks framed Africa's demand for at least two permanent seats with veto power as an essential act of reparatory justice. For too long, the continent—despite comprising over a quarter of UN member states and bearing the brunt of many global crises—has been excluded from the Council's permanent membership. This structural injustice undermines the legitimacy of multilateralism. In my contribution, I emphasized a critical (and somewhat uncomfortable) truth: For African leaders to command legitimacy and leverage in global forums where we demand more democratic governance, they must equally strengthen democratic institutions, accountability, and people-centered leadership at home. True Pan-African advancement begins within our borders!

I had the privilege of delivering the Keynote address at the @AU_ECOSOCC High Level Breakfast meeting, held on the sidelines of the ongoing #G20Summit; and attended by, among others, members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives of G20 Engagement Groups, and Multilateral agencies, RECs, Civil Society, as well as Private Sector and Philanthropy Leaders. The gathering created a valuable space to reflect on how we can strengthen multi-lateral action and global solidarity amid rising geopolitical complexity. The heart of my message was that we need historical boldness to radically reimagine multilateralism in a new era. I pointed to the paralyzing cracks evident in key official platforms for global governance and asserted people to people solidarity as the most dynamic site of global cooperation today. I pointed to philanthropy’s opportunity to serve as a vital bridge to a new people-centric multilateralism and move from occasional funders to strategic partners in a new global solidarity architecture led by citizens and movements of the Global Majority. I further asserted that South Africa’s prophetic theme of “solidarity, equity, and sustainability”, will not be gifted to us by a consensus that no longer exist at the top; it will be be built, brick by brick, from below! Beyond the G20, I called for African leadership to continue shaping global conversations, setting agendas, and advancing solutions on climate justice, economic transformation, peace & security, and democratic governance

Why is it that our state's response to divergent poltical views is always met with destruction and violence? Am so outraged ,Our Mothers and Fathers who died during the liberation struggle did not die for us to be treated like second class citizens in our motherland.

@TorerayiMoyo @ARTUZ_teachers You said we are funded by a political party. Which political party funds us? And how much did we receive from that political party? And you also said we have 100 members show us all the evidence of the frivolous and malicious allegations you made against us.
