@Garmin GPS going dark driving north of the Arctic Circle: the support article says to change the brightness. But did the wise person who came up with that NON-solution ever try to ACTUALLY DO THAT when the device is at 0 brightness in broad daylight? This needs to be fixed.

@TMobileHelp Again, this is a high level T-Mobile issue and nothing to do with my personal details. But, I can understand that you'd rather discuss embarrassing things like this PRIVATELY. T-Mobile customers are royally screwed if they vacation in Alaska for even a few days.

@TMobile I'm pissed. I get 30GB data in Can+Mex, 15GB in 215+ countries then, unlimited slow data. You CAN buy more. But only 5GB in Alaska-hard 5GB cap then none when roaming in the US. NO way to buy more data. So, you need to buy an eSIM from another carrier to visit Alaska🤬

@TMobileHelp Good reason to use AT&T over T-Mobile. They have native service in Alaska, I had to buy an eSIM from Holafly and it's using AT&T towers.

@TMobileHelp There's nothing about my account that matters. This is T-Mobile's lack of service in Alaska FOR ALL CUSTOMERS. I worked with Cust service. 5GB per billing period then mobile data is shut off. Alaska is worse than any of 215+ countries

@Turbinetraveler I have flown aircraft 40 years old, with switches like these probably close to the same age, they do not just wear out. These switches are 99% fail proof. Only way I have ever seen one not work properly is, when someone forced it past the safety catch and broke it off.

During engine start, the switch failed to stay locked in RUN and moved toward CUTOFF — a failure mode the FAA warned about in SAIB NM-18-33 (2018) as a potential cause of inadvertent in-flight engine shutdowns. What is concerning is that this occurred after Air India stated it had carried out precautionary inspections across its 787 fleet with no issues found, raising questions about inspection thoroughness, recurring defects, and ongoing risk to crews and passengers.
