The lead flight attendant quietly informed the captain: "We have an H.R. on board." (H.R. stands for human remains). When asked if it was a soldier, she confirmed it was, and that an escort was present and in place...(exact flight not known, its the story that matters) Shortly thereafter, the escort was invited into the cockpit. A young Army Sergeant entered, perfectly uniformed, and introduced himself. Escorts always speak as if their soldier were still with them. The sergeant explained, "My soldier is on his way home to Virginia." The captain thanked him, pointed out the particular gravity of his service, and shook his hand. Later during the flight, the lead flight attendant called again, this time in a heavy voice. "Captain, the soldier's family is also on board - his mother, father, wife, and young daughter. They are sad they didn't get to see him before takeoff. The father asked if they could be there when he was taken off the plane." The dispatcher was contacted immediately. Hours passed before confirmation finally arrived: A special escort team would meet the plane. The family would be allowed to enter the tarmac and accompany their son unhindered. They would also be allowed to be present when he was loaded onto the next flight home. Upon landing, the tarmac controller announced: "All traffic is being held for you." This made it clear that the family had to disembark first. Before parking at the gate, the captain addressed the passengers: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a passenger on board who deserves our highest honor. Private [Name], who gave his life in service to our country, is in the cargo hold. His companion, Sergeant [Name], and his family are also on board - his father, mother, wife, and daughter. We ask that you remain seated so they can disembark first. Thank you." When the plane came to a stop, the entire cabin fell silent. Not a single passenger moved. The family gathered their luggage and left the aisle. At first hesitantly, then increasingly loudly, the cabin began to applaud. Soon, everyone was applauding. Words of sympathy, gratitude, and blessings accompanied the families on their journey to their fallen hero. This moment remained deeply etched in the memory of all involved – a powerful reminder that freedom cannot be taken for granted and that behind every uniform stands a family that also makes sacrifices. This Memorial Day let’s all remember all those and their families who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. It’s important to remember also that casualties from their service have come in a variety of ways. Many through combat. But also many through internal battles that also come from combat. They too are casualties that we need to remember. Let’s remember them all this weekend and every day.

Sergey Brin Family Foundation pumps tens-of-millions of dollars a year into "climate change" activism. Mark Zuckerberg's does as well. Climate change is real, that's what they said! It's what they fund. Data centers are bad, according to them. Hold them to their own rules.

The Google cofounder’s family foundation spends tens of millions a year on climate change organizations, and somehow nobody in the media thinks it’s worth asking why his industry is simultaneously building data centers that are absolutely devouring the power grid?🔥 The cognitive dissonance is staggering.

@AFergusonFTC @mrddmia The ABA is indeed a liberal niche group. It is NOT representative of the legal profession. It should play no part in anything remotely related to training new lawyers or evaluating law schools.

The ABA’s monopoly restricts the supply of lawyers, inflates legal costs, and infects law school education with a partisan bias. It doesn’t have to be that way. Texas and Florida are opening the door to innovative approaches that don’t involve the ABA. Tennessee should do the same.

The ABA’s monopoly on law school accreditation continues to crumble. The Tennessee Supreme Court asked those interested to weigh in on whether it should reduce or eliminate its reliance on the ABA for law school accreditation. It should.

If you think she regrets this idiocy now that thousands lost their jobs, you don't understand democrats. The results never matter. It's the public show of 'caring about the little guy'- that's the motivation. The whole point. Reality is irrelevant.

I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares. @JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation. This is a Biden win for flyers! apnews.com/article/jetblu…

Without open borders, there would be no Democratic Party. The Americans harmed and killed by illegal aliens, the workers displaced by cheap foreign labor, and the decay in America's culture is nothing to the Democrat machine but collateral damage in their thirst for power.

IS TEXAS’ GOVERNMENT TRYING TO SIEZE YOUR PRIVATE PROPERTY? This is a long post but it’s VITAL that all my Texan friends are aware of this: Your own state government, via a bureaucratic unelected group called ERCOT, is arguing that they need to take YOUR privately owned land to build 4,000 MORE miles of power lines. They’re doing this in the name of “reliable energy.” Who’s footing the $33,000,000,000 bill? You. This is not something you voted for. Will it work? As most things with government involvement… not really. These power lines are not entirely effective, because when the electricity travels, it becomes weaker over distance. So much so that it may not even make it to its destination. Distance equals loss. Maybe I’m old fashioned but “reliable energy” shouldn’t have to travel hundreds of miles, be a total eyesore, and only have a small percentage of making it to your home. I don’t know ANY Texan who’d want a giant power line running through their backyard, especially for a project they didn’t vote for, while the government lays claim to their private property in the process. This sets a precedent for other states. In the same way that almost half of the other states take school curriculum and SAT passage rates from Texas, they take energy policy suggestions from the Lone Star State. If precedent set, it means that Texans are okay with the government taking private land for projects that may not even be helpful in helping Texans! You may not live in Texas, but your energy policy, and your tax dollars, are shaped by decisions like this. Bad energy policy in one state can ripple across the entire country’s grid and economy. If billions can be spent on inefficient solutions here, it raises questions about how energy is managed everywhere. This is about more than power lines. It’s about who controls land, resources and local decision-making. What happens in Texas often becomes a model, or a warning, for the rest of the country.
