@royston1099 @MigrationWatch Hello McBobby! Yes. But it was too late by then. They knew that when Baby Boomers started to retire we would need more immigrants or suffer labour shortages. A large EU with free movement was the answer. Why David Cameron's let's get back to 10s of thousands was 1/2

I am hardly riven with joy that we have imported 700,000 odd foreigners, largely non European, while a quarter of a million Brits left. Not only does unsustainable mass immigration continue at pace, but our own people also want to leave our failing state And even without seeing data, we can assume many coming in are unskilled or dependents, while many of those leaving are the native workforce
Office for National Statistics (ONS)@ONS

At 171,000, long-term international net migration (immigration minus emigration) for the year ending (YE) December 2025 has nearly halved from the YE December 2024 (331,000). Read the article ➡️ ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulati…

@Muppetweeble @MigrationWatch Morning Weeble The governments and civil service would have known about the upcoming issues as early as 1980's or 1990's The census data and the statistics would have been projected for future needs, and be available for the government of the day

@MigrationWatch Low birthrates. Boomers started retiring at 55 in 2001. All Boomers are now in their 60s and boomers I know have basically retired. My mother had 4 children. Me, born 1971 and 3 younger sisters. My family was seen as too large. In 2001 an immigration boom was the only option.

In the extremely short term, migration allows politicians to "grow the economy" by simply adding more workers, consumers and dependents - GDP goes up. This is great for massaging growth estimates. But it hampers GDP per capita growth, and in the medium and long term, those workers, consumers and dependents begin taking up state services, which creates a further drag on growth overall. Politicians are occupied with the extreme short term, because it is good for their chances for advancement, and think the medium and long term problems are for their successors; except we are now well into the medium and long term, and those problems are now for them.

You need to get a grip because you're embarrassing yourself here. I like you Matthew but here are the facts as I was there. We had no idea Andy was there. The reason we stopped by is because there is a lake there where Rob fishes and he was showing us places in the constituency that meant a lot to him. Whilst there a few of us went into the cafe to use the toilet and have a cup of tea. The lady who runs the cafe sat down at our table and discussed how the cafe works and the challenges they faced. Nothing was planned it was just a convenience break. Burnham lost his rag with @christiancalgie who happened to following our group. Don't be a @MatthewStadlen You're much better than that.
Matthew@MatthewTorbitt

Andy was visiting a community centre which supports adults with special needs, the media and Reform turned up without invite and upset the service users who have varying levels of disability Doorstepping is largely fine in my book and he’s gonna get it but there is a line.

Just a reminder that Hope Not Hate hired Liron Woodcock-Velleman, who has been convicted of sending explicit texts and images to a 13-year-old girl. A disgusting organisation which should not be taken seriously. Here is an old clip of Liron, can’t say he didn’t warn us.

‘Net migration’ is a misleading measurement, because it is produced by subtracting departures from arrivals. The ONS estimates that 813,000 people immigrated to the UK last year, with 627,000 (77 per cent) of them arriving from non-EU countries. These included 138,000 Indians, 56,000 Pakistanis, 54,000 Chinese and 47,000 Nigerians. Meanwhile, 642,000 left the UK – including a quarter of million British nationals and 118,000 EU nationals. This represents substantial population change – almost 400,000 Brits and Europeans left this country last year, to be replaced by 627,000 migrants from some of the poorest countries in the world. This matters because all populations are not equal. ✍️ David Shipley Article | spectator.com/article/the-bl…

@WillCalverleyUK @Conservatives The Tories are centralists at best. They lay in the centre ground with Labour & LibDems, having been there since the 1990's EU loving WEF inspired ECHR compliant Heseltine, Clarke, Cameron, Major, May etc. are all still in the background with their hands on Kemi's shoulder

I’ve recently made several posts applauding Kemi Badenoch as a politician and as a speaker. I said that she could bring the Tory party back as a legitimate party and a legitimate opposition to Labour. However, it’s moments like this where doubt sets in. Here she sounds like she is almost siding with Keir Starmer. And the part where she says that she doesn’t know “who these people are” when referring to the several figures Starmer has banned from entering the UK is completely disingenuous. She would have known about a Member of the European Parliament having his entry to the UK refused. It was breaking news everywhere and heavily discussed on social media. I think she flat out lied.

Nigel Farage defending Robert Kenyon’s right to hold views on migration, sovereignty, border control, and the mass rape scandals is not controversial. It is only treated that way because the Left pushed the narrative that questioning immigration or state failures makes you “far right”. Wanting secure borders, controlled migration, and protection for women and children is normal. Wanting accountability for organised rape gangs is normal. What is not normal is silencing people for speaking about issues that affect public safety and national cohesion. @reformparty_uk @capper42004

Andy Burnham’s bad temper surfaced twice this morning. When Farage made the spontaneous decision to pop into a local cafe for refreshment, where Andy was present, he left in rage. He also refused to answer questions about his position on the EU with the Express’s Aaron Newbury.
