They shouldn't judge the price or value of the pass on your use. They should look at the aggregate of how all the passes are being used. For every guy like you that is using it a lot, there are probably people that use it once or twice a week. In aggregate, if they think they're losing money, then raise the price. But they may very well be doing okay. You probably wouldn't pay to golf every day, so the pass was worth it. Do you spend any money at the 19th hole? That counts too...

Lots of misinfo. Cost to charge at home for me is $8.50 for 260 miles. Gas can't touch that. Charging on road trips is 20-25 minutes. Charging at home is overnight when you're sleeping so the time doesn't matter. Less moving parts, less maintenance, very fun to drive, reduces pollution. If you haven't driven one or talked at length with an owner, you just don't know yet.

Electric vehicles may be great, but they’re not working out for everyone, including Honda. Honda faces first loss ever after scrapping key EV plans. This Japanese auto maker expects to report its first loss since it’s going public in 1957 with the figure of up to 15.7 billion. Honda’s decision to cancel some key EV programs have triggered massive right downs. The decline in demand, combined with Hondas retreat from America’s EV space, has resulted in the recent cancellation of a project between Honda and Sony.

I had to get my front cameras cleaned yesterday and the cost estimate from Tesla was $77 I really disagree with charging customers who are subscribed to FSD for this service. It’s not my fault the glass is dirty, so why am I paying for it. Asking a customer to pull apart the camera housing and clean it themselves feels like a bit too much as well. Not trying to sound ungrateful at all here - but I really think this is something that should be reconsidered. @yunta_tsai @aelluswamy @Tesla_AI

The great thing about our country is that people can have opposing views and we all still survive to live another day. I know Jerry is a gas car guy and that's fine. People drive EVs for many different reasons. I like the performance, the feel of how they drive, the modern tech, not having to buy gas from the oil companies, less pollution, lower operational costs by charging at home, etc. The more that gas prices go up, the more you can save by driving EV. It costs me about $8 at home (from the utility, not counting my solar energy) for the fuel to drive about 260 miles. There are EVs available in many different price points, both new and used. In fact, there are quite a few EVs now that are cheaper than the average priced gas car. If you haven't driven an EV and really checked them out for yourself, you really don't have enough information to reach any sort of a conclusion about the differences between them and gas cars. The media articles are not always correct, so keep that in mind.

Hm... When did non-Tesla owned superchargers became a thing? Recent firmwares added an option for cars with free unlimited supercharging to only use the Tesla-owned ones that would accept the free use. "routes you exclusively to Tesla Supe rchargers. This excludes third-party owned Superchargers, which are not eligible for Free Supercharging."

“Used vehicles are decreasing, so we have a bigger opportunity to increase retention and certified pre-owned inventory. Lease return would be number one, and number two would be our service lane. Those are the two main areas of focus. We bought zero cars from the auction in three years.” CPO supply is tighter than it’s been in years. Jason Graciano, Partner & General Manager at @WPHonda, explains how sourcing from lease returns and the service drive is replacing auction reliance. Well, the faster BYD Pulse charging is still relatively new so there's not much of a reliability track record that I've seen yet. And it does require some pretty hefty BESS batteries on the charger side to get those higher charging power levels, so it's not particularly economically attractive on the charging station per port cost side of things. But I'll definitely be keeping an eye on BYD's cars, batteries and technology in the future. Seems like they're really trying to push the limits on the tech.

Well, they can either do it this way and increase your assessed value while keeping the tax rate relatively constant, or they can charge tax on your purchase price and then keep increasing the tax rate to fund the increased costs of providing services. The one thing they can't do is charge the same fixed amount of property taxes every year.

Hypothetically…….. We are being taxed on money we never made. Let that sink in. If I bought my property outright for $160,000 in 2009 Now the county says it’s worth $446,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I make a profit? No. Did I get a check for $446,000? No. But my taxes jumped like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone decided on paper and now I’m being billed for it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell. If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax. So why does owning a home work differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A house isn’t just an investment, it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money. You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it. This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.” It’s about being charged for value you never received. It’s time people start to notice.

Actually, the source of the data came from JP Morgan at this link (slide 7): cdn.jpmorganfunds.com/content/dam/jp… It's a large increase, for sure. College degrees with well-chosen majors still offer higher lifetime earning potentials. Some students might be more interested and better suited to pursue vocational training (and there are very good opportunities available these days in those areas). But if the student wants to continue on to college, there are a couple of things they and their parents can do to help minimize costs. * Private schools are more than double the cost of State schools (slide 8) * Students can save 40% on the college bill by enrolling in community college for the first two years and then transferring to a State school for the remaining two years (slide 9) * There is also additional info about scholarships, financial aid and 529 accounts in the presentation as well.

If the "special blend" works so well, how did you get that picture that shows why we need it? And don't speak for most people. Most people have to go to work and take their kids places and shop for food so yeah they have to put gas in their cars. Everything, literally every single thing we have to purchase in order to live life is more expensive in CA. It absolutely is all about politicians and taxes and fees and regulations. We have a huge oil industry and plenty of refineries, and we could and should have the cheapest gas in the country. Why can't the refineries in CA produce the "special blend" of fuel you think so highly of? Why are we paying the highest gas tax in the country, but our roads are shitty? Why are refineries closing left and right in the state with the most cars, most cars per capita, and by far the highest demand for fuel in the nation? Oh, it's gotta be those evil oil companies. It can't possibly be the corrupt politicians, their moronic policies, and highest in the nation taxes. Nah, that's definitely not it
