@cornoisseur Bennett alluded to him approving it at the last SNA meeting. this is all performative. he’s been bought, there is not a single one of his resident constituents who are for this lot, and if he does approve it, he should be investigated. he didn’t get the zoning chair for a reason.

@mattlindner public walkways are for human beings, not corporate delivery robots that impede strollers, wheelchairs, the blind, etc. they don’t get out of the way, they just stop and wait for YOU to go around. everyone should be flipping them over on sight.

The Chicago City Council might soon finally have a Zoning Committee chair. Ald. Bennett Lawson appears to have a large amount of support to permanently take the seat he has held as interim for months (twice). Alds. Ruth Cruz and Red Burnett would be co-vice chairs.

Seems like a good time to remind people, in spite of the hashtags, that neither the Cubs nor the Ricketts own these buildings, and they are not doing this redevelopment.
